My first level. Just a fun platformer. Thanks for any feedback!

Hi!

I just played your Level and I think it's realy good! You obiously spent a lot of time in building this level. You've put a lot of detail to it. I also liked the use of the grappling hook and the many different obstacles. The gameplay is great.

But there were three areas you should work on:

The first time I fell off the second platform. On the ground I had to kill myself and start from the last checkpoint because there is no chance to get up again. Maybe you could ad a bounce pad on the left so one can jump on the first platform - no one likes it to kill his sackboy.

I think I died 7 times till I got the idea how to get past this obstacle. It was kind of frustrating. You should think about reducing the grapable material to the front layer...

It's possible to get stuck behind the green "pillar" if you enter it from the left side. I got stuck there and had to kill myself again to proceed... and as I mentioned it before: I hate it to kill this little fella

As a last advice: you should ad some music to your level!

Played it and really enjoyed it! It was simple but effective, nice use of some of the story devices like the electricity on timers and the automatic steps. Perhaps my only criticism is that at times it was a bit too easy, for example the aforementioned timers were very generous - I was able to wait until they were half full and still cross in time. But given that it's your first level there isn't really anything wrong with it at all, and I expect you'll go on to make some awesome stuff.

Played today and here is my feedback:

The level is a simple but very nice standard platforming LBP level with a nice use of the grappling hook and the bounce pads. It's nice to have some standard levels now that most people seem to focus on minigames. The level itself was very fun even though most of it felt similar to what the story levels already did so maybe a bit more of originality could make the level stand out even more. It also felt very easy to me but i guess that's something that changes from player to player. The length however was fine. In the end i feel it's a very nice first level which needs maybe some more original sections and maybe a higher difficulty.(if the thermo allows you).

This was fun and pretty fluid - I see you were going for something like Tower of Whoop, It was a fun and amusing platformer - I really don't have much more to add as I played through it, it worked well, had no troubles - just fun. Nothing broke, reached the scoreboard, everybody smiles. Keep up creating non-horrible levels. There's so much out there that's bad i'm this close to binning my disc. i did not know that they would move out of the wall X) there are arrows but i just thought they warn me bout the electric stuff
and in my eyes there was way to less bounce pads for that name of the level. i expected a lot bouncing fun but the main path was the grappling hook.
i don't think the level is bad, i just think it should get a better name.
maybe adding a race and point sensors at the end would make it a little bit more wilder and fun. hope i helped

Right away this level looks awesome. Lights are great, theres alot of different types of things going on in this level, like the grapple hook for one, and i didnt even realize you could go straight up walls with the thing untill now lol. How cool. This is one of the best put together levels ive seen. Most everything is smooth sailing through it. I dont have one negative thought about this level.2011-02-23 03:20:00

just played it it was really fun! I really like the neat look with the red and circuit board materials. The grappling parts were cool, especially when trying to collect the points. Great job.

Just played it last night and I thought it was brill fun I also was unaware that you could climb walls with the grappling hook, but when I did: pure AWESOME.
