Using the sequencer to make a mini-game harder??

Archive: 7 posts

I'm making a min-game and I want it's time based.

All players need to get as much points in 3 minutes.

I want the emitters to start emitting more as the time limit gets closer, I believe I can do this by using the sequencer???

But I'm not very familiar with using the sequencer... and how it actually works.... could someone give me some tips on how i will be able to do this??

If I remember correctly, you can set the input of the emitters to scale with its frequency; couldn't you just use a counter for this purpose? You could increase it with a timer or with batteries in the sequencer.2011-02-13 11:46:00

So maybe the counter needs 30 to be full, and the timer resets itself and inputs on the counter every 10 seconds and the counter is connected to the emitter set to Scale Frequency.

Just to clarify.

Or to make everything happen quicker later on and the stuff is on a sequencer, copy the sequencer and make it have less seconds per bar. Also you need something at the end of sequencer 1 to make it start. Most likely a battery.

Hi I'm in a similar situation (I'm trying to do a survival challenge) and I've tried connecting up batteries with emitters (with speed/scale setting) and counters and it won't let me connect them all up. There must be something wrong that I'm doing. It would really help if someone could post a picture of a possible set-up where the emitter actually work to go by.2011-02-14 16:00:00

You need to connect only the counter to the emitter, and the frequency of the emitter will scale according to its curent status2011-02-14 16:15:00

OK I'll give it another go when I can. On my other post 'Stuck: Survival challenge timing/optimising with speed/scale setting (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48371-Stuck-Survival-challenge-timing-optimising-with-speed-scale-setting)' someone mentioned batteries. You can have a look, as I attached an image of my previous set-up. May help this person too.2011-02-14 16:31:00
