Help with getting holograms to animate

Archive: 4 posts

Hey all, Ive been trying to make a fighter level in which the player controls a hologram that moves using diffrents animations. But i cant figure out how to do it. Like when your just standing there i want the guy to move through a standing animations( 2 or 3 different images).

I tried to use emiters to emit and de-emit a image, and emit the next, in a cycle. But it wont work. Does anybody know the best way to do this?

No sackbot then?

I guess if you created a moving base, and had emitters tossing out images for a fraction of a second, and 'slightly' adjusting the 'sync', maybe you could have select cut-outs made to look like an animated image.

Seems like it could get awful complex in a hurry though.

for the different animations. For each 'set' of animations, e.g. the three for when they are standing e.t.c. you could use a selector with a pulser inputting into the selectors cycle input every .1 seconds. This will cycle the different animation frames quickly.
Have the holo all set to 'follow' a single point so they are overlayed exactly, or simply glue the bits together, eitherway its not important.

Have each animation 'set' (a set would consist of a selector with outputs wired into the different holographic 'frames' of this animation set; and a pulse timer inputting into the cycle input) wired into the outputs of another selector:
- Have the output gates of this 'master' selector inputting into the pulse timers on each of the animation sets.
- Have the outputs of the coresponding controlinator (or whatever logic applicable) buttons as inputs into the correct gates/states (state 1/2/3 e.t.c.) for each animation set on the 'master' selector (selecting which animation set is triggered into an on state).

I probably haven't worded that very clearly but i hope you get what i mean. Read it again if your not clear lol, it does make sense,
