Level Links or Clever Transitions?

HOW2MAKE CAVE???

I'm kidding, don't worry.

Well, kind of. I do need a bit of help making a cave.

In the level I'm making right now, I was planning on having it outside for about 3-4 minutes, then in a cave for 3 minutes, and then back outside for a little bit.

I wanted to use level links to go to the cave, and back outside, for reasons of keeping my creating space a bit more tidy, keep the gameplay mostly horizontal and a few other things, but I have a few questions:

1. Is it even possible to use level links to move to a different level, then back to a different spot in the previous level?
2. Can you transfer points in ANY WAY between level links?
3. Would I be better off to just use fades and teleporting to change between the 2 scenes?

Thanks, I just want to FINISH my first LBP2 level, and make something good out of it.

1: That would require 3 levels: The Outside the cave --> Inside --> Other outside
2:I'm sure if you set it as sublevel, putting the entrance in Level 1, & the scoreboard in level 2, the points carry across (Just look at some story levels... I think?
3: If you use Sackbots, the transition between two parts of the same level could be made smoother:
Cutscene when entering the cave, showing around alittle, which then cuts back to live gameplay - whilst sneakily switching to the other section and Sackbot

Don't rush things! I've still got two levels pending
I'd rather publish quality later on, than average ASAP

Hmm, well if #2 is true, I could probably set up some kind of logic to rig the entrances in my first level, have the first one only activate it you have 0 points, and the other one if you have more. I think? Maybe.

Yeah, I know that would work pretty well, but I want to make the level completely multiplayer friendly, and I don't want to have to mess around with sackbots, and try to figure it all out.

Nah, I'm not rushing anything. I've spent about 10 hours working on the beginning alone already. It looks awesome, I just meant that I want to actually finish a level for once, instead of just stop creating it like I usually do.

there's a very good tutorial on making a cave here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhj4GhLrhKY

It's done in LBP1, but caves have been around for ages, so not much has changed about them. Most of the concepts still apply.
