A simple question (I think). How do I keep a bolt from making those squeaky sounds when it rotates?

I'm pretty sure that the sound disappears when you make the bolt invisible. If you like the look of the bolt I'm sure you could find a decoration to replace it.

Yup. When it's invisible, it makes no sound. I'm also pretty sure that there's a logic that makes the sound go away. If it doesn't already when in play mode.

And material tweaker might work, just switch "physics sounds" to off. Of course, if you want the bolt invisible, then thats kinda pointless...
