Huge Debate
Archive: 5 posts
well i've visited tons of forum never joined one so i decided to join here, but what i came up upon in every LBP forum was the "water debate". Many our anxious to see if Water will be available when creating levels. The word "Dissolve" was heard from president of M&M. Does "dissolve" simply mean Vanish or is it a key word for the item so many want on LBP called WATER! post a reply on what you think and if you think there would be a need for water in the game. | 2008-08-10 01:42:00 Author: Jon_Jon Posts: 25 |
Welcome, and i think water will defiantly open alot of new areas for gameplay if they do add it. I for one would love to be able to build a boat or sub marine. | 2008-08-10 01:47:00 Author: Darkelite105 Posts: 374 |
"Dissolve" is a feature you can implement to make an object disappear, so to speak. It will dissolve an object into the air. It has nothing to do with water, though. Water, on the other hand, is something they are definitely considering, but they might not add it until they see that the community wants it. I think it will eventually end up in the game, either on the disk or as DLC. EDIT: By the way, if you intend on sticking around, you should formally introduce yourself in the relevant forum. We're very welcoming around here. | 2008-08-10 01:51:00 Author: ConfusedCartman Posts: 3729 |

Huge debate? Wishful thinking.. but as everybody seems to want water, I don't think this will cause a debate (which is great because I hate debates). I have had a feeling that water will end up on the disc (at launch) for a while now, and we have only seen a couple of the 50-ish levels that ship with the game. Time will tell! On the other hand though, water will deffinatly harm this games reputation as simple. Its going to be very hard to create good water-based puzzles, but it would be worth it. It would make more sense to add it as DLC later so that everybody is used to the original tools before trying to learn about this new water system. p.s. Welcome to the forums. | 2008-08-10 09:03:00 Author: Maltay Posts: 2073 |
