Ive seen some games that have these word captions on the bottom of the screen and it will usally give out a conversation between characters and or give the player instructions. Its kinda like a magic mouth except it stays there for a good while and it looks more sharp and clean. My question is how do I get those captions. I looked around but the only things I can use for any word captions is the note and the magic mouth, I want the one that the pros use that the lettering looks really nice and usally appears in cutscenes. If you dont know what I'm talking about heres and example. On the LBP2 beta some guy in Machinima made a LBP2 movie and theres small word captions explaining and telling the stoy without using the magic mouth, at least I believe they dont use it. Well anyway thx.

If you put a magic mouth on a sequencer and use the subtitle option in conjunction with a video camera, the words you type in the magic mouth appear long the bottom of the screen. There's probably a good tutorial on how to do it around here somewhere otherwise just play around with them in create mode.

Ok but how do I make it playable? When I select playmode the cutscene camera is there but the word captions dont pop up and yes I have the words filled in the magic mouth already but it doesint want to show in play mode.

Make sure you have the second option in the magic mouth checked for subtitles, then have a player prox switch or something else turn on the sequencer - the input for that is on the bottom left of the sequencer when it's closed. You may have to put an empty Magic mouth at the very start and end with no text but subtitles turned on. There's a weird glitch that sometimes happens with them.

I've seen places where there's Unclose-able magic mouths, no subtitles. Most recently, Chicoleunis' Da Vinci's handmade factory whatsitcalled. I wanted to know how to achieve that effect. The subtitles are usually unclose-able too. Is the unclose-able mouths thing a glitch or what? Also sometimes when you set subtitles to have voices (Gibberish) the voices don't play behind the text. That's quite annoying too.

I've seen places where there's Unclose-able magic mouths, no subtitles. Only time I saw that was when I wasn't hosting the game - in some cases, only the host can close the mouths. I've yet to see any unclosable mouths when I was hosting.

Ok but how do I make it playable? The movie camera has "Disable controllers" option. Controls are disabled by default. So enable them. And also.. if the movie camera is tiggered immediatelly after start fo he levle, the player will pop-up after the movie. Not before. So can not control. If you need these subtitles at the beggining of the level and playable at the same time - just put some very short timer before the sequencer.
