To Save Poopsville (MY FIRST LEVEL!)

Archive: 7 posts

I started production on this level during LittleBigPlanet 1 when it first came out, ignored it for a long while, and finally decided to finish it up during LittleBigPlanet 2, in which I added way more than it originally had and I had never planned for it to have an actual story (which i actually came up with the day i published it because of how the enemies looked) or be anything like it turned out, and I'm glad it turned out the way it did.

I had a lot of fun making this level and I hope you enjoy it! Feedback/suggestions/advice is very welcome.

I have it queued I will play it shortly and post back. I just published my first level too maybe you could check it out as well Ninja odyssey Pt.1 - Trick Master Death Zone, I just put adjustable difficulty in it because some people don't listen to the Title and say its too hard (also they only play it once)2011-02-11 21:02:00

I'm happy your making levels and all, but please refrain from the immature naming next time, It's foolish, and far from amusing.
In return, I'll play your level.

Ok here is what I got so far.
Pros:
I think poop is funny
The Parts with the obstacles (that I got to) were pretty unique and original
Cons:
You need infinite life or double life spawners
Enemies could be more creative, more dangerous, and a little less annoying
The grabable material that you use to get to the second level is a little annoying to navigate, maybe you could make it a little more rectangular so it would be easier to stand on.
This is all LBP1 tech if you have LBP2 I would replace the grabable sponge on the boatwith a controlinator and tie the boost the that
While we are on the boat I would chop the bottom rounded part to fashion it more like a boat that way it might handle in the water better, also the water parts are completely uneventful except the part where you get pushed all the way back by the croc and then you boat is stuck and you have to swim back across a lg water gap, then you get hit again with another croc, more easily avoidable but still I don't understand that part. Maybe you could make a way to defeat the croc that way you are not helpless to it smashing you.
The suspended platform part is pretty cool, but I dunno why the dark matter is so large there try taking a small circle piece and placing it in the middle of those square blocks, this will conceal it more and also I think it might look a little better when playing.

I only got to the suspended platform part because I ran out of lives twice. You have a nice start, a few tweaks and you could have a good level on your hands.

Gutz, thanks a lot, I really appreciate all the feedback and I added a lot of what you said to a list of changes i need to make. I added your first level to my queue and I will play it next time I'm on.

Tadao-ZM, me and my family find the name quite funny, and it fits in with the story, and there's nothing against it. I only named it that because of what the enemies look like, originally I had no plans to make a story with the level. You don't have to play my level.
