Spirited Away to a Magical Place Called LittleBigPlanet
Archive: 8 posts
So I am a HUUUUUUUGE fan of any of Hayao Miazaki's work and my absolute favorite film/anime of all time is Spirited Away (How'd you guess?) I really want to create a level or series of levels that are true to the movie and in doing so I would love to add some original music (featured in the movie), however, I am not quite skilled enough to sequence it myself. If anyone could help me out or would want to take on this task (PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!) I would greatly appreciate it. Here are the songs I had in mind for the levels: "One Summer's Day" by Joe Hisaishi http:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHXUnfJIoyo "Chihiro No Waltz" http:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZNkrhgMr3Y&feature=related "Day of the River" http:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=pC1-3noPDdU&feature=related There are a bunch more songs that could be made and honestly I'd be happy with any of them or just a single one. Obviously all credit would go to whoever sequences them and I would adore you forever <3 So please if you have any interest contact me! My PSN is NOface-- Peace (Loops also hella welcomed!) | 2011-02-10 22:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
OMG. I LOVE this movie! Can't wait to see how this turns out! :] I any help is needed other than the music creation, I'd love to help! Best of Luck. Btw: for some reason the links in your post don't work? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OeOqYR1fXPg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yjy7PXoBFf8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn6-oDVMf5M Beautiful music. | 2011-02-11 01:54:00 Author: Noroibito Posts: 211 |
Bah, my first posted links and they don't work! Sorry about that. Thanks for posting the videos though, Hisaishi's music gives me the chills every time I listen. Anyways, yeah, any contributions would be great (character designs, cutscenes, objects, layouts, etc.) I still haven't figured out what kinda style I want... I want to LBP-ize it but without straying too far from the film. I want people to recognize it but still feel it fits into the LBP universe (like a mix between a story level and the animation.) I just started today making the Audi A4 Chihiro's family is in at the beginning. I think I'm gonna try to open w/ that whole scene as a cutscene and then begin the playable content right as they go into the tunnel. I should warn you though I am an extreme perfectionist so this might take a while! What do you suggest I do for the NPCs? Should I go with sackbots or sorta 'cut-out' characters akin to the story characters in LBP1?? (One thing I could use help w/ is creating them sackbots or not. Its gonna be trickier with the more simple characters like Chihiro's parents as sackbots (if I use them) so I'm leaning more towards those 'cut-outs' I mentioned. Thanks much! NOface <3 P.S. 1:34 of "Day of the River" always makes me cry! | 2011-02-11 04:53:00 Author: Unknown User |

For the most part I think all the spirits would be depicted better as cutouts given their proportioned so much different then a sackboy and kinda shaped funny but the people should be sackboys, thats just my opion. Anywayz it was a cool movie and I hope you do well with your project. I would help you but im not too good with the musik sequencer. | 2011-02-11 14:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
I feel you! I'll totally try to help! ^_^ I'll add you soon. Oh and on the characters, How about a mix of cutouts that move? Akin to LBP curators? | 2011-02-11 14:16:00 Author: Noroibito Posts: 211 |
Slightly off-topic but you should check out this level from LBP1 if you haven't already. I'm sure you'll love it: http://lbp.me/v/dn243 | 2011-02-11 14:34:00 Author: UmJammerSully Posts: 1097 |
