How to get a HUD to appear universally when camera pans out

So I have a working HUD, and currently, it hovers above the head of a sackbot I have moving around for an action/puzzle platformer game type. What I want to have is the HUD appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Now, normally, I'd take a piece of hologram and stretch it up there to follow the sackbot, and that works great, but for some parts of the level, I pan the camera out for some of the puzzles to incorporate more of the scene. Is there a way to make a HUD that stays universal even when the screen pans out? Because the HUD than shrinks as the player size does.2011-02-10 22:14:00

Hmm, interesting problem you have there.

The easiest solution I can think of would be to have two HUDs (one small one big) displaying the same thing simultaneously. IIRC Hologram can be turned on and off, so you could simply turn the small HUD off and the big HUD on when the camera zooms out.

If you wanted to you could add some type of fancy transition effect.
