I try to ace the Terrible Oni's Volcano... manage to get to the boss without losing a single life. Cautiously and patiently go through the fight because I don't want to do the level again. The boss finally explodes and I breathe a sigh of relief... and then a tiny piece of fire is flung halfway across the stage, killing my Sackboy at the checkpoint. I was peeved grr The lesson here : When trying to ace the story levels, expect the unexpected.

Yup, had that Even worse was on Serpent Shrine, aced the whole leve, but a chunk of flame rock landed right in front of me. I had no means of getting passed it whatsoever, so I went for the chance, jump, scorched, bounced off it, died :/

That almost happened to me. The tiny piece fell on the bridge where it could not be seen at all. I walked right into it. Thankfully I only got knocked back and figured out what happened right away so I was able to jump over it in order to complete the ace.

Yep,the same could happen with zepata's arm in serpent shrine.I found out the hard way like you.LOL

I was trying to ace "the mines" (- .-) and I got past the hard minecart transition stage and thought I'd investigate what was above the checkpoint. I found the x2 and the sticker switch. I stood in front of it and placed the sticker on and the bombs that blew up and allowed you to get your prizes killed me How embarrassing :blush:

I played all the levels a million times and nothing strange like this ever happened until i tried to ace them. It's like they know what you are trying to do.

Happened to me when the Tank at the end of the 3rd MGS level explodes. I also died on a light after the Wheel of Death in the Bunker.

The MINES. AAAH. I'm riding the minecart to the end, and near the finish there are the platforms that rise up for your cart when you get near them. so about halfway through those one of them didn't work and all of a sudden my cart flips over and traps me under it.
