It would probably help if you said what objects you were talking about

Objects can be resized and rotated exactly the same as a decoration.

Maybe try making your own custom objects using a mixture of objects/material/decorations?

There are quite a few objects that would work well on a top-down birds-eye level. All of the available balls, the plastic bottle, egg cartons, boxing gloves, knife, hammer, nail, shuriken, the books, the doll bits, most of the food, etc. There seems to be a decent amount of stuff. As Mac says, perhaps you could recreate the other stuff that isn't designed for top-down.2011-02-10 15:58:00

Same as materials objects are limited to there layers, prime example showing that is shrinking ball that instead of smalling down in single layer it becomes ecliptic to take all 3 layers that is band to it.

Way they are limited this way you may ask? It would confuse physics of game play that is also limited to layers

For the balls pariculary, shrinnking them down to one layer (as with any other material) wouldnt break the physics, they are just handled as cylinders anyways.
The balls would need to be some kind of special new object type, that accepts these modifications and could be squezed to disks, but then aggain, if they can already be elongated to elipsoids, why not MM? (Well, I see making a new class of object, just for the few balls that are there... )
(sorry if that went a bit offtopic)

Yea ability for changing layer size sounds reasonable for some objects, but still they are limited to attached layers and not solving the main problem 2011-02-11 12:56:00
