Emitters not working on Sequencer
Archive: 8 posts
Im lost in the woods of the Sequencer. So i want to spawn a box from an emitter that is on a sequencer. The problem is that the emitter doesnt spawn the object correctly (or doesnt spawn it anyway), if i put the emitters ( on microchip) on a sequencer-line. I have : one sequencer (and later sequencers in the main-seq.), a microchip with 4 emitters on it which get activated randomly by a randomizer. I have tried to put the microchip not in the sequencer and get the active-signal from a battery, but that triggers two of the 4 emitters in the microchip at the same time and two boxes spawn most of the time when the sequencer triggers the battery on the timeline. | 2011-02-10 08:12:00 Author: Unknown User |
Do you have the emitters to activate by "one-shot"? Dong that will only allow them to emit once per signal activation. | 2011-02-10 08:28:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

Wait a minute, they dont emit twice, two emitters emit at the same time (through the randomizer) when they get the signal from the battery. | 2011-02-10 08:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
Is the randomizer set to "one at a time"? If not, that may be your problem. | 2011-02-10 08:44:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |

I have a randomiser ANDed with four emitters and it manages to drop two objecst at a time sometimes. I ANDed it with a swtich because just wiring it directly with the timings I wanted, the randomiser never seemed very random. So it could be a bug. Have you tried your external chip of emitters wired to a timer instead of seqnecer for test purposes? Do that, and see if it drops one or two blocks. If two, the fault is your microchip. Could try deleting it and building it new from scratch. | 2011-02-10 09:21:00 Author: Shifty Geezer Posts: 131 |
The randomizer, even when on the microchip works flawlessly, in the sequencer not. Tested the timer, works. i recreated everything again and its very simply sometimes activating the emitter twice, you can see that even because the cable blinks twice. btw. if someone wants to test this problem with me online, im in the editor all day, just msg. me your psn id. | 2011-02-10 09:33:00 Author: Unknown User |
News: i tracked it now more down. The randomizer sends a signal twice to the emitters every second cycle (in this case, of the sequencer). for example i have made a sequencer 1 second long. Seems like a bug? Or am i missing something here? Its now impossible to emit stuff from the sequencer, which is really annoying. | 2011-02-10 10:46:00 Author: Unknown User |
