Anti-Light.

have you ever played or created a versus level with seperate cameras and one room is meant to be dark and another is meant to be brighter? Global lighting switches could help for co-op levels but for versus if one player is in the dark room the (meant to be) bright room would be dark too. Here's where my idea comes in... a tweak where a lights brigtness is set to negative(-). rather than the light making a room brighter it would take away light from a room. Tell me what you think and expand the idea if you want. Thanks

You could try to designate a zone in-between the light and dark areas where you add some bright-light-emitting objects to simulate sunlight whenever the global light settings are set to be dark.2011-02-12 17:09:00

It would be cool if you could have different areas with different global settings WITHOUT having to switch between them. In most cases It works fine, but sometimes it would be handy.2011-02-12 17:22:00

In computer rendering there no such thing as "anti-light", there light or there not light... thats it, so MM can't do magic. Ofcorse there walk arounds, darkness is created usually make making fog effect (but insted of gray use black color) or by textured smoke, so what you really want is localized fog but that might be limited by PS3 preference2011-02-12 19:52:00
