Multiplayer: manipulate individual player cameras

This is not so much looking for help as advice on an idea I had.

It came about when I was thinking of flash-grenades of all things. Why was I thinking about flash-grenades? Because I am at work.

Anyway, I haven't done any VS. game creating yet, so I am not sure how the player cameras work. So I will just explain the idea.

Is it possible, and if so how could you set up gameplay devices so that in a VS. game one player could get an item or deploy an item that has an effect on another's camera...or every camera but their own. I realize some camera effects may be more possible than others so some examples might be:

? causing it to turn upside down for a short time
? causing it to go white like a flash grenade for a time
? causing it to shake for a short time

etc, etc. if so, the gameplay objects could do all kinds of things using glass, holographic materials, world tweakers, even sound tweakers to cut their sound, the x-ray glass material, etc.

what's your input on this?
