Toggling controllinator on/off

So Im still working on this level Ive been building since launch day and its evolving like some mutated monster the more I learn the logic and how things work, which brings me to my problem. For a little background info its a spiderman level, my beta used the sandbox style and you were supposed to go into buildings at various points to complete objectives but it looked like hell and was killing my thermo too fast. So I decided to make the buildings solid and when you walk into the door it uses fancy camera tricks and spawns you in the buildings interior in a sackbot, which was handy because now he can climb walls and fire webs and fight. But then I thought what if I made a peter parker bot too to add a little more depth to the game. He can go places spidey cant and gets diff dialogue from the actors etc etc.

I ramble I apologize, anyway, is there any way to turn the controllinator on or off depending on the tag? Ive found you can wire the output to the eject to immediately spit you out and you can wire a toggle to the eject to turn it off entirely but no amount of logic combinations Ive tried have successfully turned it off for spidey but on for pete.

On a side note I also know 0 about music if someone could make a little something for my level, would prefer Green Jellys Carnage Rules as it was the theme song from the old SNES Maximum Carnage game and I find it really nostalgic but anything would be fine if it fits I guess, none of the in game stuff really feels right. And if anyone has some work around to the lack of grappling hooks for sackbots they could throw my way id greatly appreciate it.

If it's a receiving controlinator, you can attach it to a microchip and turn that on and off using whatever logic you want. But this will ONLY work for a receiving controlinator; a transmitting controlinator is always on as long as a character is sitting in it.2011-02-09 19:00:00

Essentially the problem arose when I decided pete should be able to ride the subway cars and I thought simplest fix would be to just have him jump on/off a controllinator. Its really not that big a deal but finding this out now causes problems for other things I was going to do like pete can walk in the front doors of places and spidey cant etc. Doors would need to be transmiters as well2011-02-09 19:05:00

Indeed. Have each of the receiving controlinators In chips with their input connected to a sensor labeled something unique for each one. have whatever logic you want/need to switch between them wired into a selector that flips between two outputs with the two corresponding tags for each controlinator chip. There you have one deactivating as the other activates.
