PSN Problem... Halp!
Archive: 10 posts
So, just tried to make my first psn purchases from Sweden and I can't add funds to my PSN wallet. Not entirely sure why. The store is still ?, not kronor, and my account info seems to be locked to the UK. I'm not sure if it's barring me from purchasing things because my IP is swedish and thus I shouldn't be using that PSN store for taxation reasons, or something like that. OR possibly it's because my credit cards are authorised for use abroad and so my bank has decided that they shouldn't be used in the uk. Which is something I'll have to investigate on my own. Does anyone know what the Sony TOS is like when you have an account in one country, but are trying to access that country's store from abroad, especially if in the same region, but with different currency? | 2011-02-09 17:52:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Yikes.. Not sure about any of it, but you might be able to get by with purchasing PSN cards in the meantime. | 2011-02-09 18:04:00 Author: jwwphotos Posts: 11383 |
Wait, you're in Sweden? When did I miss that Should there not be something in the account information you should change, which I really can't remember atm :embarrassed: | 2011-02-09 18:08:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |

TBH, if possible, I'd actually prefer to be on the English store for now - it's cheaper and until I start getting paid over here it costs a fair bit to transfer my UK money on top of that! | 2011-02-09 18:13:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |

http://www.shopto.net/ Do the PSN vouchers with instant codes. | 2011-02-09 19:24:00 Author: Rabid-Coot Posts: 6728 |
Well instant code PSN vouchers would be great, if any of the stores that sell them actually sell them (none will sell due to fear of fraud, it seems)... Ugh, anyways, I did some checking and there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to use the UK store from abroad, so I'm gonna hope it's just a temporary thing | 2011-02-10 13:07:00 Author: rtm223 Posts: 6497 |
Well, I had a friend who moved from UK to US - and he had a nightmare of a time getting his XBL & PSN accounts transferred. It's like they didn't understand that Human Beings are not static objects that are glued to the spot - and they actually have the ability to move around the place... sometimes even *Shock Horror* being as brazen as to go abroad... to a different country!!! The swine! Just a suggestion RTM, but there's some "Buy Now" options in Ebay, where you buy the PSN code direct - worth a try if you're really stumped Edit: yup, just like Rabit-coot said  | 2011-02-10 13:33:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
