Screenshot in Create mode?
Archive: 10 posts
I feel like this is a very dumb question but can you take a screenshot in Create mode? During Play mode there's a nice capture icon on the pause menu but it doesn't exist during Create. Placing a Snapshot camera also doesn't seem to fire during Create (but will during a Play test). It's very cumbersome turning all of your wires to visible to take a picture of basic logic and it seems Circuit Boards aren't showing up during Play mode for me at all so more advanced logic is impossible to take a screen of in Play mode. Is there a workaround other than using my cameraphone or buying a capture card? The play mode camera and LBP.me upload is a very handy way to take photos to ask for or provide help. If I could take a picture in Create it would be perfect but that missing icon is sorely missing. Please help! | 2011-02-09 17:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
I think you can still use the normal camera tool from your pop-it (in the stickers menu). Haven't tried to take pictures of logic tools yet, but I saw some posted by other people. I hope they patch in the screenshot camera for create mode in an update, it would be very handy | 2011-02-09 17:22:00 Author: Unknown User |
Try pressing the Start button, the one that brings up the screen allowing you to set the grid, preview mode et cetera. I believe that there is a screen shot icon in there that lets you take a picture while in create mode. It is the dotted line box with the arrow next to it? | 2011-02-09 17:29:00 Author: Trindall Posts: 297 |
Hit square > Middle right Icon (Stickers and decorations) > Top left icon on that page, looks like a rectangular outline with the middle of each side cut out, i think theres a little camera icon on it too. That's your camera tool. Snap away! You can take pics in create mode, yes. I believe if you have the game paused (up, in create mode) it snaps instantly, if not it counts down from 3. I've taken loads in create mode already for pics to help explain things i'm posting on here e.t.c. Oh, once you've taken the pic you can hit Square and select 'upload', it uploads it to your LPB.ME account. When i'm writing something out and i know i need pics, i'll set up the situation before hand sit at the comp, snap, upload, refresh my lbp.me pics page, get the image url and slap it in the post. its a wicked little cross platform interface, really handy! | 2011-02-09 18:29:00 Author: Epicurean Dreamer Posts: 224 |

Cheers M8, I was using my phone lol. Although stickies dont get captured make the sticker big enough to see decently, not so big it goes blurry though, get ur cam tool and resize the box till it covers it exactly, take the pic, there's ur sticker, pictures are basically custom stickers in LBP. | 2011-02-09 19:01:00 Author: Epicurean Dreamer Posts: 224 |

Also I know it's harder to do, but you can get video-quality pictures (as in frames from movies) using a capture card, as the output can be changed between 'SNAPSHOT' and 'RECORD'. And you have a handy li'l remote thing to push to start the video/take a pic. Also to get pics you take on LBP through popi onto your computer, the way I use is > Export To HDD > then put a USB stick in your PS3where a controller charger would go, > Quit Game > Pictures > Find Your Picture > Triangle > Copy > USB > Go off that > Unplug your USB and plug it into your computer > Save it onto your Documents or something like that so you can unplug the USB stick > Now when you want to place it Click Insert Image then put the URL of your image (writing that appears in the top bar on the name when you single-click on it) in. I think that's it. Or you can just pick the image. Choice is yours. It'll appear in brackets like this: (your image URL) I think... Hope I helped! | 2011-02-09 20:37:00 Author: mutant_red_peas Posts: 516 |
Mind you, circuit boards aren't supposed to show in Play mode even if you make them show before leaving Create mode, spinmonk. Also, I noticed you mentioned about it being too much of a challenge to open and close circuitboards in Create mode?I don't know if you've already noticed that and realized it still took too long, but when highlighting over a Microchip or something that produces a circuitboard/microchip/sequencer pattern(like a controlinator, a [music] sequencer, a sackbot, or a plain microchip) you can press R1 to hide an show circuitboards. | 2011-02-09 21:26:00 Author: Cronos Dage Posts: 396 |
