Neon colour based on player

This is the same as in Blast Radius to all those who play it. Anyone who has played it will know they can identify their ship because it has lines that are the same colour as their popit. This is used by having neon or hologram set to the colour of the player, but how do you make it so the neon actually picks up the players colour? I'm making a similar game that has a similar principle of Blast Radius and want my ships colours to be the same colour as the player through Neon material, but I just can't figure it out, help a brother out! | 2011-02-08 20:17:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |
If you tweak the neon material, you should see all the colours plus a Sackboy that is shaded black. Simply select the Sackboy that is shaded black. | 2011-02-08 20:19:00 Author: creator22 Posts: 162 |

I put a sackboy sensor on the microchip of the DCS and set it to max range 0.5 so it only picked up the player in the control seat and then wired the sackboy sensor up to the neon, and it worked! =] | 2011-02-08 21:54:00 Author: Pete1991 Posts: 225 |
Here's a better solution; wire the active output of the controlinator (looks like a little power button just above the sixaxis outputs) into the neon instead.
