Help with impact sensors
Archive: 4 posts
I was hoping someone that has a good grasp of the tools in LBP2 could come check out my level in Create Mode. I'm having some problems with impact sensors not kicking off all the time and I can't figure it out. My PSN is Pestilence11. Just put "lbpc" as the subject or something when you add me if you want to help. Thanks. | 2011-02-08 17:41:00 Author: Pestilence Posts: 7 |
Can you not describe your problem here? Here's a few tips which might help: "Include Rigid Connections" is an important setting that makes the impact sensor detect impacts on any object glued to the object it is placed on. "Include Touching" also helps you to detect impacts with hologram and such like. Are you requiring a tag? If so, make sure the tags you're detecting/being detected match up.Apart from that, I wouldn't know where the impact sensor would be going wrong. A bit more information would help people answer your query a bit more fully. | 2011-02-08 18:08:00 Author: Holguin86 Posts: 875 |

Include Touching and Include Ridgid Connections don't apply because the things that require impact sensors are single objects except one where only part of it is supposed to react to impacts. I am using tags for various things in the level which work 100% except for the impact sensors. For instance I have a bumper with an impact sensor that kicks off a score giver and a sound effect. Sometimes it works fine and both activate but other times one or both don't react. I've tried without tags, bolting objects instead of gluing, pulling objects out of the level to test them, using seperate impact sensors for the score giver, sound effect or emitter, etc. The short of it is that my impact sensors are only working 80-95% of the time. I just wanted someone to take a look and hopefully a fresh pair of eyes would spot something I'm overlooking. | 2011-02-08 18:40:00 Author: Pestilence Posts: 7 |
Anyone? Is there a way to check if your level is overheating in Play Mode? I'm not even at 1/3 in Create but that's the only thing I can think of. If anyone wants to check my level out in Create it would be appreciated very much. PSN: Pestilence11. | 2011-02-09 02:46:00 Author: Pestilence Posts: 7 |
