It looks awesome and it plays INCREDIBLY smoothly.

This is easily one of the most fluid recreations of a pinball machine in little big planet. The appearance is spot on, stylish, subtle and simple. It has all the expected aspects of pinball which i like, such as the bridge, the bonus balls and so on.

The atmosphere was brilliant, with the whole machine being well lit and attractive, and the music fitting everything perfectly.

I especially liked the added point areas, like the stars and the 1,2,3 etc. The same goes for the way things constantly moved.

It played really well but i almost wanted more points for what i was doing. Every time you go on the bridge you get 3000, which was good, but everything else was almost too small in comparison so all the points i got for hitting other stuff was minor compared to the bridge. I think it would also benefit the game if it were easier to get the ball in the left hand area of the machine, as i tried again and again but i could only get it half way up the tube to the left bridge. EDIT: I just managed it several times, but it is easier to get it to the right - it should be balanced in my opinion.

I just think it would be more fun if things were a little faster paced, with loads of big point scores flashing up, really over the top style like most of the traditional pinball machines.

Anyhow, great job, i can see myself playing this again in the future!

If you have the time please take a look at my mini-game, a mixture of Basketball and Pinball, link in my sig.

Thank you for the detailed review. Really appreciate it! I will try to balance the scores when I do my first update tomorrow. I guess you?re right. It's easier to get the ball into the right bridge than the left, will try to work something out to solve it. There is a rising point-system on the left bridge but I think I need some kind of visual display of it, so the player is aware of what?s going on.

Of course I will play your level. I?m putting it in my queue.

Thanks.

I just wanted to add, it is mighty addictive!

I can see myself spending like half an hour solidly trying to get a higher score once you have updated!

Hey, pretty fun level, I'll have to play it a few more times before I get back with any good review I think, but I can say I liked your ussage of in/out movers. Made it feel a little more pinbally. hah2011-02-08 22:05:00

Thanks everyone for the positive words.

I have made an update to the level. It's now version 1.1
No big changes, just some minor stuff I needed to sort out.

I left a mini-review in game for you. This is absolutely gorgeous and really very fun to play - I don't tend to go in for pinball games but I do love this one. I'll be looking at your other levels tomorrow for sure!

One TINY, nitpicky problem, and I really mean nitpicky. At one point in time the ball did go straight through the left flipper whilst it was half-engaged, almost like it wasn't there. <DoubleEdit> Sorry. I did not know that this was a bug in the game itself, so no, nothing that can be done there. </DoubleEdit> Didn't annoy me too much though as every other part of the controls were simple, and clean, and felt very responsive. I'd say the speed of the flippers is down to a T and the look of it. . . well I don't need to say anything there. The pictures say it all for themselves.

<EDIT> Oh, and to add to what Steve was saying, I'd agree that some flashy, OTT effects would really add to the atmosphere!</EDIT>

5 star level I'd say!

Checked this one out today. Overall I think it's a very solid pinball machine. One of the better ones out there! One thing I would like to see is more lighting. If pinball machines have anything, it's lots of lighting. Other than that it's great. As far as the ball being harder to get up on the left than the right, that's fine. You just reward more points for it. Then it makes it worth while to get it up there. And as for the ball going through the flipper. Well, there's nothing you can do about that. I don't even know why people complain about it. It's MM's fault not yours. If you slow down the flipper it won't work right. All people have to do is adjust their play style. I also noticed that as soon as the level starts, I hear a flipper sound effect. I would just disable it until you hit one of the flippers for the first time. Easy fix.2011-02-09 00:55:00

Thanks for all the constructive thoughts. I really appreciate it. I've made a new update to fix the flipper-sound in the beginning. I had not even noticed it until you pointed it out. Thanks. The level entry is also a bit smoother and I have added some light and sound effects when you launch the ball as well.

And you?re right about the ball moving through the flippers some time, I don't think there?s anything to do about it without affecting the game play too much.

The level now has over 155 plays and It's been given many positive reviews. Thanks everyone. And for those who wanted more tables, I can just say that it's a huge possibility there will be in the near future.
