Hm. lbp noob, stuck in early level. lols

Archive: 10 posts

HI all,

I'm on that really early level where they're "testing" me to see if I'm good enuff for "the alliance". I'm in a section with 4 big sponges stacked (there used to be a sticker on top of them). I bumped the stack to the side, sticker fell, and i picked it up. Then I bumped the stack of sponges over to the right hand side of the well I'm in. Now I don't see how to get out of the well. The sides are too high to jump out. I can't move the stack back to the middle of the well (can't get on the other side of it any more). Popping myself just lets me run up to that section all over again - the sponges are still stuck on the far right side of the well, and no way to get out of the well once i jump in.

me = lol fail.

Any suggestions?

Pressing and holding R1 will grab a sponge. You should be able to drag them over to where you need them (you can push them too by grabbing them and shoving them). Make sure you don't accidentally bump R2 or L2 while grabbing or it will cause the grab to release (really dangerous if you're swinging).2011-02-08 15:05:00

Yah tried that - it seems like 4 sponges stacked is too heavy to move like that. sackboy just sits there tryin, and nothin's moving. lol

Besides - i really dunno where I want them anyway, since 4 sponges stacked is way too high for me to jump on.

Return to pod, replay the level. It should be reset.

You don't have to push the blocks to get them moving. You should be able to grab them (R1) from the other side as well. If you keep R1 pressed and push and hold X, you get that extra "umph" that they keep talking about in LBP1 and LBP2; you get a bit stronger.

If I recall, you don't need all 4. You just need to knock them all down so you can use one to proceed. As already mentioned, while holding R1 to and then use X to give it a really good hard pull. It just takes quite a bit of "oomph" to get them pulled over. 2011-02-08 15:15:00

Yah I got em wobbling, and kept trying to run into em to knock em over - no luck.

Now that extra oopmh thing you guys mention sounds like precisely what I need - thanks!

Most welcome! It comes in very handy. There is a wacky couch with wheels that you need to use an extra bit of effort as well. The X also works on the jetpack also. Not that I recall it being used in LBP2 Story Levels, but in LBP1 story levels as well as many community levels it is handy to know.

X will also help while swimming underwater.

If you're still having trouble, try jumping up next to the stack of blocks and then grab so that you hold on to one that isn't on the floor. That way, you'll cause more unbalance in the stack and they should all fall over2011-02-08 18:11:00
