Maintaining the Speed of the Arkanoid Ball

Hi. I'm making my own Arkanoid level, where the ball will strike each of the blocks.

Question: How to maintain the speed of the ball without slowing it down later?

Im sorry but i think i misunderstood u.This is what might help(if its a 1d game other words from like a birds view) add a Antingravity to the object,add a material tweaker and change the setting to bouncy and a a mover in a direction.2011-02-10 01:15:00

This is just an idea off the top of my head, but it may work.

put a tag on the center of your paddle with the label "paddle".

Now add a MC on your ball with the following circuit:

Put an object modifier on there so that the ball is bouncy and has 0 friction.

Put an antigrav sensor on there set to weightless, and 0 dampening.

Wire an impact sensor to a follower set to run away from the "paddle" tags. Every time your ball hits the paddle, it should get a small burst of speed to bring it back up to where you want it. Your impact sensor may have to be set to include touch.

If that doesn't work, you could try modifying it some, with a timer set to reset itself in between the impact sensor and the follower.

You may have to play with your dampening and acceleration to get the movement like you want.
