Nice visuals and theme. I have been waiting for a top down platformer type deal.

- Annoying when you hit/rub against a wall, which them messes up your aiming. Perhaps have the thick layer control movement, and a thin/holo control aiming to fix this.
- AI can't follow you though small gaps.
- Delayed death (and small awareness) on enemies can get annoying.
- At one stage (x4 bad clones) I backed out a little (to where the gate is), killed them all, backed out a little more, then the gate closed on me!
And since you have disabled popit (WHY?) I couldn't pop my sackboy to repawn. :/
- The boss' minons don't do anything??
+ Nice boss dynamic.

Disabling popit.
I feel it is every players MM given right to have the ability to take everything apart (sticker/dec edit tool), take photos, change costume, chat, etc if they want to.
Taking control away from the player is never enjoyable. You are removing features that can add to your level. Especially when the player doesn't even use square or circle on your machine!
It reminds me of gas teleporting in LBP1 taking away the "Acing' feature. You have no excuse for gas teleporting anymore creators! (Thanks to the new controlinator system.) You have been warned!
"But it adds to the immersion!" I hear you say...well I say..."Shut up!".
I'm sure disabling the popit will be one of those personal preference decisions. That won't stop me from mentioning it in my reviews/feedback though.

Hearted because I want to support this kind of top down level.
Fix the niggles and it will be great.

And as always, add pictures to this level thread, and you may want to mention 99% of the level is gameplay despite the film/movie level icon.

This was an enjoyable level with a unique feel compared to most others I have played. It looked good in top down format and played smooth.

The creature design was great - overall visuals were good too - but I really liked your creature design. They were original and fun.

It seemed like most of the enemies just wanted to give me a hug ... I am guessing their flame bodies would eventually cause death, but it was most often just an annoyance. Especially during the boss battle - where they didn't even try and hug me much as just stand in the way when I was trying to get to his butt.

The boss fight was fun and felt new/original. The flame thrower looked great ... would have liked to see some more of that in the other creatures (ranged attacks vs. the hugging thing).

It was definitely worth the price of admission ... excellent work. (initial cinematic were okay too)

PS - if you could, please check out my F4F level in my sig. thanks!

I played this yesterday and I liked it.
Good:
- neat level design
- cool creatures

Bad:
- the bug doesn't work when it's near a wall

Suggestions:
- make the bug spin faster. No seriously, do it
- when you hit an enemy from afar, make it so that it activates a follower so they don't stay stupid on the side while you shoot them to death
- make the boss spin slower and make it so that after you've killed the two guardian bugs it sets a timer of 4-6 seconds that will then respawn the bugs

Hope my feedback was of some use. Lots of love, blizzard! <3

Looks:

Very professional feel to the look of this level. Everything felt like it was part of a theme, like it belonged there. The look of the creatures was lovely - as someone else mentioned, very creative and original feel to it. The fluttering wings were an especially nice touch!

I assume that the Bugs take damage at some point, however I couldn't spot any obvious visual cue about what sort of lives I had left, so couldn't see the merit in collecting fruits. Some sort of light indicator or hologram life bar would be perfect here.

Playability:

Difficulty level is slightly easy, but rather frustrating on the bug controls. I agree with a previous poster - make the player's bug spin faster. It will greatly help the player to aim quicker and get around your level with more ease.

Playability on the whole was good, puzzles were limited but enjoyable, the Boss at the end needs some tweaking. Again, I'm repeating what another has said, but I wholeheartedly agree with blizzard_cool. The boss is very doable in multiplayer at the moment, as one of you can distract him while another shoots his bum, however when you are in single player mode, his little friends just keep getting in the way, and he follows so quickly you haven't a chance to get around.

Overall:

Brilliant, a little tweaking and this will be a fantastic level.
