Little Big Planet 2 Wont Load Up.
Archive: 10 posts
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. I bought Little Big Planet 2 last week and it installed fine but when it gets to the HDD loading screen (when the little circle at the bottom rotates) in the bottom left corner it freezes and the whole PS3 stops responding, I haven't even been able to play the game yet as it happens every time, it isn't the PS3 as all my other games work fine. Is this a common problem? And how is it stopped? Thanks. | 2011-02-07 19:27:00 Author: Rolo Posts: 3 |
It might actually be the firmware as 3.56 has some game reading and loading issues... or it could be a LBP2 bug. IDK. Try removing the lbp2 files and isntalling it again. | 2011-02-07 19:54:00 Author: Jgr9 Posts: 56 |
Try starting w/out importing your LBP1 data. (You say you haven't played it, so I'm assuming its when that happens?) If this is it, play the intro level w/out your profile, once on your pod, import your LBP1 data, you'll replay the intro level, but it should work fine from then on. Hope that helps! | 2011-02-07 19:58:00 Author: Silverleon Posts: 6707 |
I haven't even got to the intro level or whatever happens next after it explains on the screen the little rotation thing means it's reading the HDD, it always freezes on that bit! Do you think deleting it then installing it again may work? | 2011-02-07 20:21:00 Author: Rolo Posts: 3 |
It might do. I've never came across this before.... ....Maybe your disk is scratched? (I'm sorry if that's useless, I'm trying to help... But I don't know everything) Try deleting anything LBP-2- on your user. Or maybe start a new user and see if that works. That would mean having to copy your LBP1 profile onto the new user but that's not hard..... ....Also you'd need a new PSN and you'd lose your trophies..... Or can you import them? I saw on PlayStation website once that they were letting transfer all your jibbery junk (in other words, 'games&apos onto a new PSN. | 2011-02-07 20:30:00 Author: mutant_red_peas Posts: 516 |
How do you delete anything LBP2 related? Cheers. | 2011-02-07 20:36:00 Author: Rolo Posts: 3 |
Basically go into your Game Utility Data or The Other One which has your Saved Data in and anything LBP2 (not LBP1) is LBP2 related. Press triangle and select delete and VOILA! Deleted. Be careful what you delete though, you can't get it back after. | 2011-02-07 20:43:00 Author: mutant_red_peas Posts: 516 |
my game data wont load but it dose on my other ps3 PWEZ help | 2011-11-27 20:00:00 Author: Unknown User |
Did LBP2 do an update before you started playing? If so then you'll prob need a PS eye camera. That's what happened to me it wouldn't load after the "Move" update and by plugging in the PS eye it loaded straight away. After that you don't need the PS eye plugged in. Prob another glitch amongst the countless others. *sigh* | 2011-11-28 08:44:00 Author: otm shank Posts: 15 |
After the last update my game will not load past the loading screen too. I deleted the game data, but not the downloaded content or game profiles(2). I downloaded the 9 updates and game installed/saved to the hard drive again and 'optimized' the patches. When it got to the loading screen it locked up again. Another user said that when they plugged in their PS Eye device it got past the locked up loading screen. I don't want to buy a PS eye device to make the game work again. I shouldn't have too. Another user suggested backing up and deleting my entire PSN user profile. No other games are being affected by this so I don't think this will work either and will be a huge waste of time. I would have to download all my games and updates again and on DSL that would take weeks. This problem only happened after the last update so I'm sure it is a problem with that update. Is there anyway to deny updates like on xbox and continue to play the game unpatched? My disk does not have any scratches on it. I have an older PS3 (not the slim one). I have to check the firmware level when my niece is off the system. The original Little Big Planet game still works. I got LBP2 when it came out and imported my 2 gamer profiles into it with no problems. | 2011-12-24 17:44:00 Author: Unknown User |
