Invisible plasma...

Archive: 5 posts

I need a hazard that I can turn on/off but I don't want to be able to see it. I found that setting plasma to the player color makes it invisible which is perfect. This seems like a bug however so I'm not sure I should use it...any opinons or other suggestion? Is there a way to make sackbots immune to hazards...I could come up with some less complicated than my current scheme if this were possble. Thanks.2011-02-07 15:39:00

I was using a lethalized hologram object, set to 0% brightness to create an invisible hazard. Sackbots are only invincible to a hazard they've been lethalized with. For example, a sackbot who's on fire is invincible against fire, a plama'ed sackbot is invincible against plasma, etc... I believe that is the only way to make them invincible to hazards.2011-02-07 15:46:00

If you use hologram, make it invisible, then put a lethalizer switch on it you can turn it on and off with a switch.2011-02-07 15:50:00

This isn't an official hazard, but there's another way to kill your Sackperson. Create a block of invisible hologram material and place a Controlinator on it. Set it to automatically enter. If you destroy the hologram, it kills the Sackperson in the Controlinator. If you hook up the Active output on the Controlinator to a Destroyer it will happen instantly. Emit the object using a Player Sensor or Impact Sensor.2011-02-07 16:04:00
