Pool creation

| Hey Sackpeople! If anyone could help me, I would be in debt for life! I want to make a pool, or something like that, but I cant seem to find the way to limit the water if you know what I mean. | Yeah - because of the limits on the physics engine, water is all-or-nothing. Imagine the code and processor cycles required to calculate contained water (and the spilling, pouring, splashing that would need to accompany it). Now... you can make the appearance of a pool with the Waterfall material (in the glasses), but it is actually a solid material, and sackboy will not be able to go in and swim. The only thing you can do to create a working "pool" is build your level (and utilize the layer glitch, if you really want it to look proper) so that you only reach "sea level" when you approach the pool. | While it is computationally possible to simulate hydrodynamics in a suitable time frame for game use (try playing Hydrophobia on the Xbox 360 if you don't believe me), LBP sadly has no such capability. It'd make a nifty feature, though! | 2011-02-07 14:35:00 Author: Unknown User  |
