LBP.ME remember my username?

Archive: 22 posts

Im not sure where to post this so ill just post it here.

Why is there no [ ]Remember me? selection when i sign into LBP.Me? i find it really annoying having to type in my entire email adress and password every time i go to that website.

Can somebody please move this thread where it belongs? i could not find anywhere else to put it.

I found that annoying too, so I made a macro on Firefox that automatically logs me in. 2011-02-07 04:16:00

YES
It's so annoying to log-in, needs to be streamlined somehow.

Is that something to do with your browser?

Guys keep in mind thats a issue of PSN web login not LBP.me itself, PSN integration tools are delivered by Sony. And i guess reason why it's not remembering you is security since your PSN account involves your money.2011-02-12 12:41:00

Firefox allows you to remember your username and password, problem solved.

Not by default apparently.
Please inform me of the magical way to do this.

Go to Tools >> Options >> Security >> Passwords

There's an option there to choose if you want Firefox to remember passwords for sites. Also, check in the Exceptions part next to it that LBP.me isn't included there, otherwise Firefox will never try to remember the password for that site because you told it not to. That should do it.

Also, I do agree it would be nice to have an option to remember your details for LBP.me. Would the money thing would be an issue though, since doesn't the PS Store ask for your password whenever you buy something from it involving money? Or is that just to add funds? I've not bought anything from there in ages to remember how it works exactly.

Hmm, my box is already ticked (got other sites on there), but lbp.me isn't on there. (not in exceptions either)
Any way to add it? :/

Perhaps there's an exception for store.playstation.com since that's what the URL is for the login screen. If that isn't there, you could always try the Saved Passwords option that's just beneath the Exceptions button. Although I'm not certain on how that feature works since I've never used it.

Just double checked the stored passwords, store.playstation.com is there with my pw, but LBP.me still doesn't remember my login.. :/

Maybe it's because lbp.me is separate from store.playstation.com so it doesn't read the password? If so that's a shame since that means it's probably unlikely there's a way to make lbp.me remember passwords. Guess that means we'll just have to wait and see if lbp.me gets a remember my username feature.

Add funds, but session id acquirement is problem here, HTTP server knows who you are by giveing you as a cookie session id that your browser present on ever page request. But i don't know how this works if they got session per site then it's ok, still it's not changing fact that this is Sony issue

Based on the fact an identical system works fine on LBW, it's a problem with lbp.me, and nothing to do with PSN authentication. You can probably work around it by refreshing your lbp.me session every hour or so to keep the session alive, or write a program to do it.
