Creatinator Help Please

Archive: 8 posts

HI I'm using the creatinator to shoot fire in my level, but I can't get it to damage anything. I've tried putting projectile sensors onto stuff and that doesn't work. What am I missing? I want to use the fire to destroy stuff to clear a pathway through.2011-02-06 15:09:00

You should be able to do this by having a creatinator shooting a projectile that has been lethalized with fire. Then use a projectile sensor hooked to an object destroyer on any object you want destroyed. That should do the trick.2011-02-06 15:28:00

Make sure the projectile sensor is set to take in either all projectiles or fire.

Or make sure the projectile doesn't dissolve before hitting the sensor.

Are you firing the actual fire projectile, or one you've made yourself? Projectile sensors only sense things from the projectiles section of the tools bag.2011-02-06 17:22:00

sorry to be thick, but where's the object destroyer listed? That's obviously what I'm missing.

I am using the fire listed under the projectiles section, I've not got as far as making my own stuff up!

The destroyer tool is located on the second page of the tools bag, under "object tweakers".

Attach a projectile sensor, change the input to fire, hook it up to a destroyer, then tweak the destroyer to your likings.2011-02-06 18:28:00
