Is there any way to change instruments? In the first game, you could change sounds but keep the same pitch. Is there anything like that for the music sequencer to change the instrument but keep all of the placed notes?

Choose another instrument from the tool bag, then make sure it's icon lines up with that of the pre-placed instrument's, then place it.
