Idea - Operation

Operation was a battery-powered game of physical skill and patience. Players had to remove body parts from a human body without setting off the buzzer.

It is something that I would love to see adapted to LBP2. I would attempt it myself but I wouldn't do it justice. So I'm putting the idea out there, for whoever thinks they can achieve good results.

I don't know how you would get the skill element. Perhaps selecting an object would go to a quick minigame, and failing that would cause the object to not be removed.2011-02-05 23:24:00

I think this sounds like an awesome idea. The mini game idea sounds reasonable; it could even be some sort of similarity to the idea of the removal of the object. I think it would be prudent to vary the mini games in that plan though. I mean, the wishbone was much harder to remove than the bread basket!2011-02-07 01:02:00

Maybe it would be similar to the story level 'sackbot redemption' where you must pull the object through a tunnel with electricity on both sides? Just give it horrible acceleration and deceleration and it would be hard to stop it from hitting walls.2011-02-07 01:06:00

I like the idea of a mini-game per body part. Like Nicko says, it can represent the concept of having to remove a part, but in 2D.

Example: You become the body part (controlinator), and you have to navigate (from left to right, or from bottom to top) through a number of moving electrified gates.

Can you set it so that only one player's controlinator is active at a time?

So for example, 4 players enter the level and jump into a controlinator each. At this point, only Player 1's controlinator is active. The rest are disabled. Player 1 takes their turn, and when their turn ends (either when they remove a body part or cause a BUZZ) their controlinator deactivates and immediately activates Player 2's controlinator.

I'm not sure how scoring would work with this method.

I was thinking of something like that, i have to really mess around in create mode figure out how to make the logic work, especially with the minigame parts, like going from one controllinator to the other without killing all the players2011-02-07 17:15:00
