Private investigator Sack Jefferson: The Ladykiller (Movie) Duration: 5min
Archive: 22 posts
EDIT: I'm abroad for the next 6 weeks and I can't give any more F4F for this period of time. Hey, I finished my Movie a few days ago. I spent more than 25 hours in it and i think it was worth it I would highly appreciate it if some people could watch it. It has a story, action, a slowmotion matrix like shootout, a detailed car (a Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno) and a fully functional multi floor elevator with a door logic Of course you can post the name of your level here and i will play it too http://lbp.me/v/xcwhf- Images are Createmode still frames and don't display the final movie. http://i3.lbp.me/img/ft/973d37fa4ced994ff6366a1e3636210ef5b487eb.jpg http://i7.lbp.me/img/ft/58751c5085ea6b422e34850c1a0eaf273cade3eb.jpg http://i7.lbp.me/img/ft/2b73bd4f6ff57b0866bb89080accc8c82063d877.jpg | 2011-02-05 20:17:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |

Thanks for the feedback. Heres what i thought of your level: Positive: - i really like how you show the cigarette flying out the window - great job with the story - elevator part was funny - ending was epic Negative: - the only beef i have is i think the movie was lacking in the visuals department Overall: - i really enjoyed it and i gave you a | 2011-02-06 18:09:00 Author: Sonic5411 Posts: 712 |

Thanks for the feedback guys I really appreciate it. I'm glad you liked it the only beef i have is i think the movie was lacking in the visuals department I tried to get some more effects in the level like rain and thunder... but the thermo was at the limit :/ | 2011-02-06 18:31:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |
Nice movie. + I like the car scene. + I liked the pace. It went from one scene to the next very smoothly. - There is a section that was a little slow. Not sure having the elevator stop at each floor adds anything to your movie. Maybe if there was something interesting on each floor. Thanks for your feedback I built the elevator and the door logic before i build this movie and it was actually for a gaming level. So its very difficult to change it because the doors wouldn't open in a proper way when the elevator would move from first to fourth floor directly. Maybe i take a look at it... and give it a try. I'll play your level later that evening (German time zone) | 2011-02-06 21:10:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |
Haha! Great work! I loved every moment of it! -The Cigarette scene was totally awesome, and added to the wow factor at the beggining of the level. -The Scenes were very well acted, and seemed like they were MM quality. -The storyline was great! Totally worth watching! My only Nitpick was the building was a little plain, If there was something funny going on, such as maybe two grannies having a dance off on 1 floor, while on the next theres another movie refference, such as the guy from heavy rain or something checking out another crime scene. Also, there was a Player Sensor that was visible on each floor. You might want to hide them. (Theres an option like that in every switches tweak menu!) In the end, I gave it a And a <3! Fantastic work! | 2011-02-06 21:42:00 Author: grayspence Posts: 1990 |
Thanks for your feedback mate I'm very pleased that you liked it so much. I like the idea to add something funny to each floor, i will think of something to add. I think I have enough thermo space left for it. The Sensor you saw on each floor is there because it shall display the Button to call the elevator. Seems like i should use something else as a button....and again thanks for playing | 2011-02-06 22:49:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |
Hahahaha! Still have to laugh about the ending! I don't know if you wanted it to be serious, but I had to laugh at the end. It just fitted all together: Slow-Mo scene while the Ladykiller looks like "Aw well... I'm about to die... whatever!" xD Oh.. sorry. That's not the type of feedback I'm usually writing. Positives: - liked the car scene - the atmosphere was nice (there are a lot of movies on top of the cool pages with a *URGH* design) - cigarette thing was well-made, too - story was entertaining Negatives: - the speechbubbles were too fast for me sometimes! - the stairs ruined somehow the atmosphere for me. Well, it looks awful when the sackbot is 10 times bigger than one step; it's like he's a giant! - the excitement was somehow killed with the ending. it was like *opens door - ladykiller shoots - detective shoots - BAM => "Would you like to return to your pod?"* Gave it a 'Yay'. Really liked it! | 2011-02-07 15:57:00 Author: RedShadow_88 Posts: 100 |
- the excitement was somehow killed with the ending. it was like *opens door - ladykiller shoots - detective shoots - BAM => "Would you like to return to your pod?"* I agree with this. Maybe use a world tweaker to darken the level and this show the word FIN with some background music. | 2011-02-08 06:56:00 Author: OrangeTroz Posts: 90 |
Hahahaha! Still have to laugh about the ending! I don't know if you [...] Gave it a 'Yay'. Really liked it! Thanks for your feedback I made the stairs bigger at the first time but it's not possible with the physic engine because the sack can't walk up like he should. And if you add a thin layer of dark material over the stairs it looks like the sackboy hovers over the stairs. I think i will add a Credit screen that evening so that the end doesn't come too abrupt. | 2011-02-08 18:36:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |

F4F I am going to play your level can you play mine? It is in this link https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=49109-Holland-versus-Helsacks I will send feedback with a PSN message becouse a don't have a laptop on my room. | 2011-02-12 21:32:00 Author: Unknown User |
I like the overall idea of the story, and your characters appearance fit there parts. The part with the sniper was nicely done. The slow motion in the ending was cool, although wish the fight had been a bit longer. Even with the added scenes in the elevator scene, it seemed to pass a bit lowly though. Also, there's a lot of grammar mistakes in the speech bubbles that kind of distracted me (mostly missing periods.) Gave it a . Please check out my level, in my sig. | 2011-02-12 21:34:00 Author: Unknown User |
First off let me ask a question not related to this level but related to this thread: How the hell do you get this pop down text boxes??? I've tried various things to no avail, and no one ever seems to respond when I ask them how to do it!!!! Grrr... Now on to the movie feed back. Like others said the visuals weren't as great as they could be. But I liked the noir-feel if the actual story/dialogue. That being said my biggest complaint was with the dialogue/text in general? Are you not a native english speaker I assume? Or perhaps younger and not yet good with grammar and what not perhaps... Because I was grinding my teeth through this entire thing being the english lover I am. hah Anyways will you try out my level? Link in the sig. I need to know if the gravity feels too strong, or just right, and any other comments you want to make on it. | 2011-02-12 21:44:00 Author: LukeCF Posts: 790 |
Thanks for the feedback all of you. Yep you're right I'm not a native english speaker. I'm from Germany. Sorry about the mistakes but as long as you understood what the story is I reached my goal somehow. About the speech bubbles, they can be done by using the magic mouth tool. I'm going to play all of your levels today and write a Feedback in your threads. | 2011-02-13 12:00:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |

Nice one, liked the movie. Some of the detail was really good, simple little things like the cigarette, all good to set atmosphere etc. One thing I did have a little problem with though was the ending. It was just very sudden and like there should of been just another 20sec or something after the shooting scene. | 2011-02-24 21:29:00 Author: TimeH33 Posts: 51 |
Thanks for your feedback. I would have continued but the thermo was completly full. I'm going to play your F4F levels withing the next 48 hours and leave a Feedback in your threads. I also have to mention that I'm abroad after that for the next 6 weeks and I can't give any more F4F for this period of time. | 2011-02-25 14:48:00 Author: Dan2k Posts: 26 |
