R2 or CoD? (Merged with Call of Duty 5, Resistance 2, or Left 4 Dead?)

ok wich game do i get? im leaning towards r2 at the moment but i really want the game with the best online multiplayer... ive played cod but its just lik cod4 and r2 idk.... i need help!!!2008-11-15 19:02:00

well my freind said Resistance 2 was alot of fun. he hasnt tried multiplayer yet so i cant tell u bout that.

for call of duty world at war i have it for xbox360 i think its identical to ps3.

well its alot of fun. Campaigh on Recruit is bout 2hrs-3hrs long only but thats on easiest difficulty so yeah
online is fun. it takes alot longer to rank up online its starting to take a long time at only level 27 for me
and im good i get like 60kills every headquarters match!
so i dont know.

I got the new COD yesterday but i haven't played it yet.
I've had them all on my XBOX360, but since i've been using my PS3 all the time lately (due to LBP) I took the plunge and bought it on my PS3 as all my work mates just bought PS3's and got COD

well if you want to know about the online experiance about both games then umm... well looks like CoD5 is covered but not R2 i am going to go out and get it today. but i had the R2 beta and it was only the online aspect of it and let me tell you it was AMAZING you still have the level up aspect of it and there is an 8 player online co-op and 60 person online matches, the online is absolutely EPIC and for the single player there is a good story line with you guessing what will happen next all the way through (that is how it was in the last game)

Breakdown of online Co-Op (keep in mind this is what was in the beta and that the real game could be much more expansive and it is interms of levels i do not think in classes though)

well in the co-op you can choose 3 classes: gunner, marksman, and medic. The medic is really useful and heals his team and is essential, and most of the time they get LOTS of points. The marksmen are the people that can take out loads of guys if they can use thier abilities correctly (this was my favorite as i almost always got headshots) and he could also give his teamates ammo which is neaded often. And the gunner was a slow moving guy with a giant gattling gun on his waist and he could deal some major blanket damage with that thing and was just really good support and he has a shield which is really usefull. You can go up to level 35 but it takes a long time to get there but each level you usually get something cool like a secondary weapon or a new ability or more ammo or something like that. And the levels that you play are very expansive because you can be fighting in different sections of the same map but with different objectives. as in different objectives i mean not in the same area but in totally different part of the map for that set of objectives. in the beta i think i played like 6 or 7 different levels but each one had the same area or feel to it which was a nice touch as in different squads in a real war have different objectives in a different specific area but are stil in the same general area. Now keep in mind that there IS more than one general area for you to fight in and there is most likely more than 6 or 7 different sets of objectives. The co-op story is one that is totally different from the single player story and it gives it another perspective on the story which i think is kinda cool.

Multiplayer Overview

This was really fun as i am really good at this game and even though people talk down on the carbine because it is the first weapon you get a real pro can absolutly pwn with this gun. ok time to stop my rant and get on with it. Well the only ting i got from this is the free for all thing which i thought was one of the funnest free for all matches i have ever played so i can not tell you about the team epic matches but what i can say is that in these matches you are split up into squads and the other team has a corrosponding squad and you will will have objectives that rival that other squad's objectives so if you need to attack something, they need to defend it and so on so it splits up the 60 player matches so it is not as hectic but awesomely epic.

I currently know nothing about the single player but if it was anything like the last game then it will be absolutely awesome and this is supposed to be about twice that soo... double AWESOME

well that is about all that i know about it at the moment and i am going to pick it up today. But as for CoD5 i will most likely go and get that sometime around Christmas but yeah that is my 2 cents

meh... i am not a bloging kind of person but i usually do have a lot to say and i am going to be picking up R2 in about an hour or so, so i will give a short review of the beginning of the game... but i will make sure not to spoil anything for you all because the story in my opinion is very well put together and i am actually looking forward to seeing how the story progresses like one looks forward to the next book in a series or something like that. I am glad that you all enjoyed it

In all honesty, I think Resistance 2 would be bottom of my list. I do love the idea of Left 4 Dead, and Call Of Duty does have a long streak of being great.		2008-11-17 00:08:00

so far the single player campain is great with great cutscenes, and great environments. If you just take your time you can beat this on any diffuculty and i am currently doing it on hard. The enemies look GREAT and the new weapons look great too. Basically i am just excited to play the game again just to see what happens next in the story. Oh and the boses are great and just as a *hint* *hint* *wink* *wink* the first one that you go up against is... (famous pirate lore espescially in the second Pirates of the Caribbean and it is a famous monster from there) but i think that the game is great in both single, co-op (wich most games do not have so far), and in strait out multiplayer; all of them are great... AMAZING so i would pick this over CoD5 but would definitely get CoD5 over the holidays as it looks kinda good too2008-11-17 04:10:00

Resistance 2 all the way FTW just go toooo... HERE (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=t=4782) and read down to see my overviews of the main components and then on the next page i have started a single player one and am adding to it as i play through it and get more info so please look at that before you make your choice oh and PS3 and R2 FTW besides LBP of course this will be on my top 3 list

For me, after playing the L4D beta it has to be this. Its just superb in every way.

Then I would follow it with COD5

I bought CoD: WaW recently... I've hardly played it; but it's awesome. Unfortunately though, comparisons to CoD4 will be made... There's no competition. Treyarch completely redefined WWII, but CoD4 has the advantage of being in a modern setting with better guns, etc.

World at War is something different (something I never thought I would say about a World War II game) but CoD4 tops it.		2008-11-17 11:03:00

I dont know which to get, But im getting R2 regardedless,i had a choice UT3 and Cod4, i wish i brought cod4 as ut3 a great game and all but the campaign is rubbish and no one playing it online and the online is another story it lags, but the mods balances it out, so if u waqnt ut3 for the 360 dont bother cause it rubbish with out mods, KZ2 or COD 5, i think im going to get KZ2 cause it an exluive, aslo they too many world war 2 games out there is unbleveibal, They need a TPS world war game this will brink back world war games, World war FPS have been so many time and the ones i played there not much of a story and u know what going to happen2008-11-17 12:35:00
