Switching object with controllinater

Archive: 5 posts

Ok im really stuck, I want the left stick to control the chosen objects movement, but the right stick to choose which object will be moved, and this all needs to function on both up/down and left/right. Can anyone point me down the right road?2011-02-05 02:56:00

I think that question may be too vague. I don't fully understand what you're asking. Maybe it will click for someone else, but can you give a few more details?2011-02-05 05:23:00

Well Basically I am trying to make a controllinater where the L stick will be able to move 1 of 8 objects in all 4 directions, but be able to use the R stick to switch between the 8 objocts passing the L stick conrol onto whichever one is then active. Im basically trying to recreate one of the old cheap puzzle games where there was always one block missing and you had to slide the image into place around that 1 free space (dont know the name of them unfortunately, but basically I need the R stick to be able to choose which object is being controlled, Im not sure its possible but with fully working menus etc I figured there must be a way2011-02-05 07:02:00

A selector will help you

Plug the L-Stick into Advanced mover like normal.
Then create a Selector:
Place the R-Stick into the cycle section of the Selector.
Each Output of the selector will be a different 'Block' (So give the same number of Outputs as Blocks)
Then hook each output into an Advanced mover in the On/Off Input (Bottom... or top? Can't remember)

Now, the Advanced mover will only be on when its Selector output is chosen.
