Hey everyone I have another project that I'm currently working on along with many others on the PSP and it's completely editing my level "LBP+ Modern Warfare Survival." Don't ask about the name I was tryin to start a trend with the whole LBP+ thing haha. So far I've changed the name to "Modern Warfare Survival" and redone the opening with everything I've learned creating in LBP so this will hopefully be one of my best published levels yet.


In case you didn't know or haven't played the level it's still published on my moon since it was one of my first levels. I want to keep the story and maybe add in some more lines but basically all of the aesthetics and gameplay (or lack there-of) is being re-done.


The Level Details:__________________________________________ _______________

Ok so far I here is what I am including for sure:
- FPS (First Person Shooter) scenes where YOU are behind the gun and shooting enemies. Expect it to be like the scene in the old version where you shoot the general in the face except with a lot more controls.
- Improved corner editing and other aesthetics. This includes guns and environments and basically everything.
- Added gameplay to the survival part.

UPDATE 1: Progress = 40%_______________________________________________ _________

- Opening scenes done. This includes level title and banner.
- First few large areas completed. One first person shooter scene, a much longer "third person" shooter zone, and a few extras.
- Completion = 40 %: This level should be completed more than likely by the end of my spring break, maybe earlier.

UPDATE 2: Progress = 75%_______________________________________________ _________

[4/15/11] Thermometer approximately 85% full, level about 75% done. Progress includes time needed for testing and final changes to the level so there should be enough thermo...fingers crossed.




FINAL UPDATE: [5/8/11] The level is complete. I tested it myself countless times so there will be no need for beta testing. It's mainly a story-driven level but it includes some additional gameplay components, more so in the Prestige Mode of the level. I'll publish as soon as PSN is up.

woah. that. sounds. EPIC! Are you coing to make a money system, for buying upgrades? THAT would be a nice thing to look forward to!!! *added to the fact that its a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER!* oh, and make a rpg type health system too. that way, if we have that, then we know the enemy attacks. just ideas. just sayin'... lol, good idea, get that percentage up soon lol 2011-02-16 19:56:00

Hahaha well you have to remember it still is LBP so it can't have ALL of that. So far I just have basic scenes to develop the story so nothing like online multiplayer for Call of Duty...YET. If my thermo allows I'll add small things like a HUD (Display thing that shows ammo count, health, etc.) but in MWS2 it will have it for sure since at all times you'll have the PSP Creatinator as a silenced pistol...(Yes that's already in the works too)

so your going to use the basic construction of the creatinator ( basic = it is attached to you ) and shape it to be a pistol? dude, that sounds awesome! still, the whole upgrade thing... *idea for a different level you should make* make a basic house. make zombies that emit from the emitor. then do the whole creatinator-meets-pistol thing. then make a shop that takes bubbles from you ( kills you so you lose bubbles ). make a health bar for your home, so when a zombie gets close, the health of your home dies away. then you can refill your health of your home from the shop, or add defences to the home from the shop! Well the pistol/creatinator project is in the second version but it is already in the works. The thing with the creatinator is that is has to be a survival challenge since after dying, the creatinator stays wherever you died at, but you as the player spwan at the last checkpoint with the creatinator still technically attached, just however far away you died. So I have an idea of how your zombie level COULD work, but I don't think it would be able to be that complex with dying and such. If there was a set platform or a house there it might as well be creatinatorless since a gun could just be mounted on the platform. I'll think about making that a spinoff version but it won't be out until the other two are.

Hopefully that wasn't too confusing.

Oh so it's not really like COD Zombies at all then? It would be an interesting idea but I have no idea if it could work (we'd have to figure out how to make some quality zombies first).

As for my level MWS, progresss is at about 50% but that's basically 90% of creating done, I just have to fill the thermo and test it which usually takes longer than expected.

yeah... are there any bricks in your level? cause when I made Attachment I had bricks but they filled up the thermo a lot because I made the individual bricks. I deleted all the bricks and replaced them with brick stickers and it gave me like 20% more room in my thermo.2011-04-16 01:54:00

Random? Haha no there aren't any bricks in my level but I did have an extremely large staircase that I removed since I had made each stair individually. It looked awesome but took up too much thermo and was really only there for aesthetic purposes but I had deleted that before the update.

Good news, I'm adding twice the level with a "Prestige Mode." After playing once, you'll earn an unlock code to enter at the start of the level to play in Prestige Mode and earn a higher score with new areas to explore. 2011-04-21 22:36:00

UPDATE: I'm almost in the beta stage of the level where I'll have several members of the community test it. Since using a lock will take away from some of the level, I'll have to do it during a set time period. Basically, I'll PM everyone who responded to this when I'm ready (probably later this weekend) and give the time period at which I'll have the level online. Anyone who would like a chance at being in the beta simply post below saying so. I am allowing anyone who says they want to and happen to be online at the time I announce that I am ready to participate in the beta so it's not a lottery or anything.2011-04-22 22:46:00

Yeah I know I've been checking to play some BOps all day but I guess it could be awhile. The level isn't completely ready yet to be tested (it doesn't even have an ending yet.) I'm also still workin on the whole Prestige Mode thing which is taking longer than expected and I got a creator's block or just no desire to pick my PSP up at the moment.

I think I'm going to perfect it on my own and then release it without a beta. (The level entrance doesn't allow me to create a beta code option, plus, I think it's pretty much done.)
