I'm not sure what to get. It can't be too expensive (Less than $600, I've found that 32" is usually around this price), it has to be a high quality and well-known brand (Sony, LG, etc.), at least 26", at least 720p, and can NOT come from eBay (Amazon is okay). I'd say it fits your criteria pretty well. For $600, it's unlikely you'll be able to find anything larger and with 1080p. That said, 720p is all you'll really need at that size. I've done a little researching for you and haven't turned up anything negative about the set. I'd say go for it, but here is another set that I think meets your criteria just as well. I do not but I THINK we have the speakers for it, but don't have it set up. They are old and might not be surround but as of right now I do NOT have surround sound.
