How to make sackbots act in a movie

Archive: 5 posts

I know how to make them act already, but I don't know how to do things like make the player wait while the magic mouths are still up or make them act a certain way. It seems that people are able to see how the movie wil play out whilst they are playing, but yet I don't see how that's possible?2011-02-04 19:56:00

What you could do is creating a movie using the Sequencer. In here you place all the camera's and stuff and the Magic Mouth tool. Then you sync the Magic Mouth with the Movie Camera's, and then you can disable the controllers.2011-02-04 20:03:00

I meant: How can I make Sackbots act accurately? I use sequencers, but how do I make them act so that I can see how it will be in Create mode?

EX: I wanted to make a Sackbot run in sync with the camera, and then suddenley walk onto a fire. When I do it in create mode, I can't see how it'll look in Play mode, so the sackbot runs through too early. When I want him to react to the fire, I won't be able to know where he'll be or how it'll look so the sackbot looks in the wrong direction and just doesen't act in sync. AKA: Worst movie ever.

Use batteries to toggle different Sackbot actions, e.g Record your sackbot running on his original brain, then copy and paste that brain, then record him running into the fire. Then just time it so your camera's match your sackbot. The key is batteries... Also if you want to see it on create mode just press square at the start of your sequencer... Just remeber the batteries or your sackboy will run too early. Hope this helps2011-02-08 21:43:00
