Is it possible to give Holo material properties?
Archive: 7 posts
By properties I mean weight distribution and such, instead of having Holo material float stationary, make it fall? For instance, making it jump. I don't really want to hide a bit of wood under it, as it would be visible for what I am trying to do. | 2011-02-04 13:58:00 Author: smerf1 ![]() Posts: 108 |
you could use neon instead, it's a metal material, looks like holo but with proper material properties :] im not sure if you can change colour though, never tested that, but you probably can. | 2011-02-04 15:28:00 Author: >er. ![]() Posts: 785 |
Not that I know of, however, there is a half decent work-around that I just tested and it works pretty well. Place your holo. Then place a small square of glass material. Make the glass as small as it will go (it will still be visible at this point). Resize it a second time but this time rotate as you resize. The glass square will become invisible to the eye. Then tack the glass onto the holo. The only issue with this is, once the glass is made that tiny, it's almost impossible to reselect with the cursor. After you do that, you can tack a Microchip onto the holo piece and set its physics however you please. Hope this helped. | 2011-02-04 15:49:00 Author: Wayward ![]() Posts: 120 |

Thank you for that, that actually helped ![]() I have just realised I have posted this in the LBP1 sub-forum :/ | 2011-02-04 17:16:00 Author: smerf1 ![]() Posts: 108 |
I have just realised I have posted this in the LBP1 sub-forum :/ You can self-report the thread, and ask a mod to move it to the correct section: http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/report.php?p=761522 I made the same mistake yesterday. ![]() | 2011-02-04 17:32:00 Author: Wayward ![]() Posts: 120 |
Also, you can make a block of holo material and attach it to a thin layer of invisible holo glued to some other type of material. It gives it it's weight without having any other materials visible. That's what I do at least... | 2011-02-05 02:57:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
