Help with sackbots and grabinator

Ok, so I was wondering if you can make a sack bot grab something with the grabinator without remote controlling him, like with the ai. I was making a football level and I cant make the players catch the ball. Unlike the creatonator, sackbots don't grab by making the "Look at tag". Any help would be appreciated.2011-02-04 03:01:00

You can control sackbots directly by placing a controlinator on their microchip. When you open the controlinator, you should see each button and stick has both an input and an output. If you put a "Ball" tag on the ball and a "Ball" tag sensor on the sackbot, and wire the tag sensor to the input of R1, the sackbot will try to grab when a ball is near. He might grab another player instead, though. 2011-02-04 12:24:00

Thanks, I will try that out as soon as I can. didn't know that you could have controlinator on sack bot without transmitter.2011-02-04 14:05:00

I managed to get this working in my AI Basketball level http://lbp.me/v/xewjjb
It's not too bad, just have to tweak the tag distance, and make sure it stays grabbed. I think I used a selector to switch to grab and have it stay on.
