Submarine Help

Archive: 9 posts

I want to create a small submarine that will be controlled with the controlinator and can move in every direction under water but when your not controlling it, it stays put and dosnt float to the surface or sink to the bottom. I would appreciate help with this please if you could point me in the right direction that would be great... Thank You 2011-02-03 19:49:00

Now, I've never tried this, but it may be the solution. Make your submarine and behind it have Dark Matter. But the controllinator receiver on the dark matter and attach the dark matter to the submarine with a rod. This SHOULD keep the sub from floating up or sinking.

I may be nuts with the mover on Dark Matter, though. Not sure it works, never tried.

Have you tried putting a anti gravity-tag on your submarine? I don't know if it works, but give it a shot.2011-02-03 20:17:00

This is exactly what the "Zero Buoyancy" option on the Anti-Gravity Tweaker does.

I would think a strip of hollow above the water with sensors tags on it could disable your upwards mover inputs.2011-02-04 20:24:00

I'd suggest putting a water sensor somewhere on the submarine, and using that to determine when it's allowed to go up.
