Mover Trouble!
Archive: 6 posts
Hi guys I got this machine that's capable of flying. Fancy, I know. But I want to make it even fancier by adding a boost when pressing R1. Doesnt sound that hard, but I've tried everything (okay probably not everything) and still don't get it to work. The machine flies using an advanced mover. Now I made this little system, so when you press R1, another mover is being activated for 1,5 second and so causing the boost. The Advanced mover max speed is 6.0 and the speed of the booster should be approx. 15. You can boost every 10 seconds. But the problem is I can't activate the boost-mover. If it is being activated it just doesnt do anything, but you do see a signal going into it. Can someone help me? Am I doing something horribly wrong? Thanks for reading my problem | 2011-02-03 18:22:00 Author: ikbeneland Posts: 57 |
YES! I know this! First youll need two timers. One should be set to the time you want it to be able to boost, and the other should be set to the time you want it to take in between boosts. Wire the longer timer to the shorter one and set BOTH their inputs to "Start Count Down". Then hook R1 up to the longer timers input, and hook the shorter timer to the faster advanced movers "On/Off" input, (And have the same up/down and left/right inputs as the origonal slow timer.) And that's it! I hope it made sense! | 2011-02-03 18:35:00 Author: jalr2d2 Posts: 256 |

It almost seems like you can't have 2 normal functioning movers on 1 circuitbord ;s | 2011-02-03 19:15:00 Author: ikbeneland Posts: 57 |
Thanks for your suggestion, but that's not what the problem is.. I got that system already, but the problem is the mover doesnt seem to work when it is activated. It almost seems like you can't have 2 normal functioning movers on 1 circuitbord ;s Unfortunately, advanced movers can conflict with each other, so I'd recommend against having two active at the same time. Options are... Put them inside microchips so you can deactivate the ones you're not using. Use a single advanced mover with speed scale so you can get multiple speeds from the same mover. Use basic movers instead. | 2011-02-03 20:47:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |

Even when the advanced mover was not activated, the normal boost-mover didnt work. But I'll try it with 2 normal one's later. And for the second point, do you know how to do this, because I will need to get at least 3 different speeds out of 1 mover. Thanks | 2011-02-03 21:57:00 Author: ikbeneland Posts: 57 |
Even when the advanced mover was not activated, the normal boost-mover didnt work. It's always 'active' as long as it's not disabled by being in a deactivated microchip. Whether there's a wire feeding into it or not is irrelevant. And for the second point, do you know how to do this, because I will need to get at least 3 different speeds out of 1 mover. Thanks You'll have to use analog logic to achieve this. Check out rtm's logic blog (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/blog.php?4150). | 2011-02-03 22:16:00 Author: Aya042 Posts: 2870 |
