You have to believe now!

Archive: 144 posts

Okay, since i know a lot of people out there have said "Aliens do not exist"
Or UFO's....

But this is just plain proof, shot from two different people's cameras, at two different locations!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrmPTnhaHzs

Now for those of you who paid attention in history class, (I didn't but i remember this)
it was either the Mayans or the Egyptians that had carvings on their walls depicting What they call "Gods" that shot down from the skies in, that's right.... BALL'S OFLIGHT!

I'm 100% convinced now, there is no way that BOTH of these can be doctored!
And if you watch the skies afterward, it is a code (Really cannot remember the name)
There is a form of communication that uses a patter of flashing lights, look at the skies!

That is crazy. Its mind blowing.

I will bet that there is some life out of earth. No one has saw the end of the universe. There is no end to space. The small world with life is just a needle in a haystack.

If that was the case it would have made a noise, like it did when it was coming down...

Well, most people are like that.
It's just when they see it for themselves that they realize they were wrong.

I want to believe, but logic tells me its a little too suspicious that the only two human witnesses happened to be within a few yards of each other; then we take into account the fact that, if they had travelled however many lightyears and discovered how to stay off radar only to create a huge ball of light...

I do believe "aliens" or life somewhere else in the universe does exist, if you look at the size of the universe it would be quite ridiculous if this was the only planet with life.
Although, I don't believe there have been any outer space lifeforms on earth, the distances are just way too big to any other place that could possibly have life on it. (Unless there is some hidden alien base on the moon, lol)

I don't know what that is in the video but it certainly looks like a UFO... which means unidentified flying object, not necessarily a round spaceship filled with green men.

Well actually, those two weren't the only ones, there were 5 or 6 i think, i just picked the first video on the list!
And to be honest, i don't think they were trying to be stealthy.
I think they want us to see that pattern.

Agreed. There are alot of connections between ancient Egyptians and aliens. Their "gods" were probably aliens who visited them, helped with cunstructing the pyramids to show off their all-mighty powers, and left artifacts. Just look at some of the hieroglyphs, hell, look at the ancient carvings of other ancient civilizations, one that I've seen clearly looks like a man in a spaceship.

Maybe some sort of directions?
They did recently find a cluster of inhabitable planets, maybe they want us to go with them?

I think its amazing that ancient civilisation architecture could've originated from outer space, but then that begs the question; What did we do for them to leave us?

Not to mention there are some structures that just can't be explained. I can't remember the name at the moment, but there was one ancient structure that fit together perfectly, and the peices were far too large for people to have lifted at the time it was built.

Oh goody! I just love to get into conversations about aliens/ghosts/unknown creatures/ancient mysteries~

Ahem~ It could be that we angered them with our own human nature. They were kind enough to help us out, and then we kept going at them for more.

Or they just intervene at random times, and then they watch and observe to see what happens afterwards, information gathering. They want to know how we react.

Or perhaps they never truly left...

you know.... maybe it's kind of like spore....
On spore, you can help a primitive species advance, and then return later to get their help...

Maybe they wanted us to be more advanced?
Maybe they want an alliance with us?

I believe in UFo's... but at that is.

Unidentified Flying Object - But that doesn't have to mean Aliens.
A point made awhile back was that after the invension of the 'Alien', this could be used as a cover for Human activty. This could very well be a new type of aircraft created on Earth - we just no Nothing about. Although at those speeds, I begin to doubt it.

I do believe in Aliens too, but not the stereotypical 'Little Men Who Are Always Watching Us' - More, bacteria or something like that... very far away!

I'm aware I see the world in my view... A literal way, and how everything could have come together.

Black Ops? Don't you know that aliens have a love for PONG? /sarcasm

Nice image Josh, it does look like it. And speaking of Egyptians and pyramids, how did they make those large underground chambers? It would have been far too dark inside the pyramids for them to carve those glyphs, and to burry their pharoes. And no, they didn't use tortches, it's been proven that the fire of the tortch wouldn't last far into the chambers, with the lack of oxygen and all.

Sorry Josh, turns out the scientists read the calender wrong. If the calender was indicating anything would happen at the end of it, it would have already happened. Someone went back and looked at it, and it turns out it doesnt end on 2012, ended some time before the 2000's actually.

Oh crap, I double posted. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU*expl odes*

To make up for it, I shall make this post more relevant, and add a picture of a penguin smashing a crab with a ham legand add more pictures of ancient stuff.

Erm...I believe that 'ball of light' in those carvings represents the Sun...
But on the actual subject of the UFO thingy, I honestly don't think it's aliens coming to communicate with us or something. I mean, do any of us even know what the government could be doing behind everyone's backs? What kind of technology they could be hiding?
I'm not saying that I don't believe in foreign life forms, though...Just look at the Mayans, and the Crystal Skulls, and the pyramids, and all that other unexplained junk. It's not like we're the only living things in the universe. But the thing is, out of the entire universe, why would 'they' come here? That's why I find a lot of alien theories to be ridiculous.

So in other words, I'm pretty neutral on the subject.

EDIT: Quadruple sniped.

Think about this, we are contantly looking for new planets, and we go to space too, Now.... think.... If aliens are anything like us, they want to know more about the universe too!

They would wanna know more about us, and help us.
oh yeah, and this video looks like the ball too, It looks similar!

Exactly what I was thinking. As far as the video being legit, it sure looks real to me. However there are some that are saying that it is a Photograph with the image of a UFO superimposed on it with some video editing program. I choose to believe that there is more Life in outer space than just ourselves simply because of the odds being in that favor.

Either is a big joke or something that really happened. I prefer to believe in the latter option.

Maybe the aliens are viewing us for their own fun, like a zoo;
Maybe they are coming back to see how their experiment is going;
Maybe they are scouting us and preparing for diplomacy or attack.
But there's something going on out there!

You do seriously want to believe that this is real, and trying to make us believe it too. I'm not believing anything on the world wide webz if it isn't from a good site that I can trust. And a big light doesn't have to aliens, it could be anything that is flying and made by HUMANS, like an expensive toy or anything like that.

I believe that aliens exist somewhere in our universe. But I don't see why they would have epic technology and why would they put lights on their flying ships? It's like they want to get attention so we can 'prison' them and do experiments on them. And why would they fly over a huge city like Jerusalem?

TL;DR, I don't believe in this.

Btw, some of your theory's sounds like you have been playing too many alien videogames or seen too many movies.

Ok, here's my thoughts on everything.
1. I believe we did receive some sort type of help to go from wandering nomads with clubs and stones in the jungles to us typing on an internet forum. With all the related technological marvels, including LBP (games) and the PS3 (entertain systems). That kind of evolutionary leap is hard for me to believe without some type of jump start kicking it into place. Now, I don't believe that "[Enter religious figure here] returning to save all mankind" is actually code for whatever brought us up to a higher plain of thinking will come back to do whatever. Regenerate, destroy, relocate.. whatever people think.

Think we're all just here on this rock till it slowly stops functioning and/ or the Sun turns into a Red Giant and utterly obliterates it. So we should be making the most of it and having fun, while taking care of this little blue marble.

On that note, life has only been here about, what? Half a billion, a billion years tops? Just what came before us? The Earth is billions of years old and is thought to have formed the moon pretty early into it's life. So was it always just this rock that took that long too cool down, theoretically?

2. I think that intelligent life must exist, somewhere in the universe. It is simply so incomprehensibly big, that to say that just .1% of it contains life means a lot. So there has to be some type of other civilization out there, or maybe was out there, thinking the same thoughts we do. "Where is life out there?" and "What are these balls of light coming down from the sky?"

3. Think if life existed that was smart enough to achieve interstellar travel and reach other civilizations. They'd also be smart enough to stay as far away from us as possible. Unless they want to farm and harvest our organs or something, they'd know we are still in no way ready for such an event happening. Also if they wanted to actually farm our organs, they'd have done it already. No chance we'd put up much of a fight against beings that are able to traverse space without a problem.

If you were them and found this planet, right? This planet the locals called "Earth." But.. the locals are as savage as you can possibly imagine. Constant wars and atrocities committed against themselves on a daily basis, in mass, all over the entire planet. No where on this "Earth" is there a calm, sensible group that doesn't in some way either commit these horrible acts on themselves or seem to worship their method of currency.
Then on top of that they gather in millions to watch and enjoy the massive amounts of movies foretelling war and devastation relating to other beings landing on their planet. So much so that you can put two and two together, to come out with a pretty clear picture of what would happen should you fly your probe into their backyard.

Would you really be all that eager to land there and converse with these locals? Think you too would stay away from that and rather not introduce your species to quite possibly its new eradicators. Human nature is a cruel and brutal one.

For all we know, aliens could look exactly like us. Or they might really be small grey men. We will never know unless they make full contact, or we manage to get to an alien planet ourselves.

...that the power of film editing becomes easier each year, and that some will always be quick to think 'aliens!' when they see a video with a strange light.

Don't be so sure to dismiss it as a hoax.

A UFO does not ipso-facto mean "Aliens".

Me & my Brother once saw 2 UFOs in the sky at the same time -It was a clear night and me and my bro were walking home looking at the stars. Then I saw something moving incredibly fast, obviously quite high up in the sky. it looked like a big bright star, but moving across the sky very quickly, my brother then saw another one coming from the opposite horizon - and they were heading straight for one another.
They "met" in the sky right above our heads - only just before they collided with each other, they both turned suddenly at a 90 degree angle, one north, one south - the way they moved in the sky is like nothing I have seen before or since (except in these other videos of UFO's - which look like the same kind of thing) - but they did appear to be "driven", the way they avoided each other was almost like a dog fight - it was like they were doing practice manoeuvres. - They then seemed to slow down and grow dimmer & dimmer... it looked to us as if they were heading out into space - until eventually the light from them faded completely.
I have seen satelittes moving across the sky, I've seen planes, helicopters, shooting stars etc - this was none of those things.

If my brother wasn't there to witness it with me, i may not have believed it myself... we both kept looking at each other and saying "Can you believe what we're seeing?!".. and my brother is the biggest, most cynical skeptic I know.

The area we live in is known as a UFO hotspot.
Now this is either because the area I live in is full of lying hoaxers, who consistently make up stories and create fake video footage - and are part of a global conspiracy who somehow coordinate themselves so that they all claim to see the same thing - me & my brother included.
Or, there GENUINELY are these strange lights hovering around in the sky, moving in such ways that defy explination... hence the term UFO (*Unidentified* Flying Object).

If you are saying that it's Aliens, then you have "Identified" it as an Alien craft - & it is no longer a UFO

Edit: Account of a UFO in the Bible?
Zechariah 5:1 Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll. 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

So you think everything is stupid, but you believe in UFOs?

. . . .wait what?

I have to accept the evidence of my own eyes, although I would question even that (hallucinations would be a much simpler explanation for me) if it weren't for the fact that I had my brother with me at the time - and if you think I'm a negative skeptic, I'm nothing compared to him.

I don't know what it was that I saw, I just know that I *did* see it. It was such an unusual event that I felt I should be telling someone about it, so I even phoned up my local council to ask who I report UFO sightings too - they advised me to call my local airport - so I called them, they confirmed to me that there were no planes in that part of the sky at that time of night and suggested I report it to my local police - so I went down to my local police station.
As luck would have it, the policeman I reported the sighting to was the same one that had busted me 2 weeks earlier for possession of cannabis (on the night in question we couldn't get ahold of any drugs, and so were unusally for us - completely sober) - needless to say, he didn't take the sighting very seriously.

I don't beleive they are aliens - I'm too much of a pessimist to believe that all of the physics of the universe that need to be overcome in order to travel the immense distances between the stars can actually be achieved.

But there is no doubt that there are strange lights in the sky, that move in very unusual ways. As to what they actually are *shrug* who knows?!

I'm quite unbiased on a topic like this:

. There is no indisputable visual evidence, but dreams, hallucinations, pranksters and optical illusions are unquestionably real. Saying this, it's funny that such educated people fall back on the concept of needing photographic proof to believe. We have no photos of Caesar being stabbed in the Senate, yet we all accept that as part of our shared world. There's certainly more evidence for earthly events though which should also be considered before you climb onto that point and never let go.

. Consider the Giant Squid. They exist in our oceans - Genus Architeuthis. For hundreds of years, sailors have claimed to see them, but Scientists could only find badly rotted corpses (of which about 20 wash up on shores world wide every year). The only photographic evidence is blurry images from a single underwater camera in 2005. Since that breakthrough image, biologists have also captured paralarval specimens. Sometimes, the truth takes centuries to accumulate the photographic evidence to prove it's not a myth.

To be honest the only aliens that I believe in can only be seen through a microscope, to picture them building a spaceship is rediculous.

Dude this isnt dead space, you cant just friggin poke a hole into a planet, that would take like 400 years and plus i think aliens have a little more sense than taking any old element and using it as fuel, every planet has its own chemistry and from what ive heard of im preeeety sure that ufos are powered by radioactive elements which are hard to find which is why they are VERY expensive. but if you do, please do tell so i can build a nuke and destroy all the necromorphs as you so proclaim this is a dead space universe

Why use radioactive elements? They are difficult to find and extremely dangerous to handle. Use hydrogen, 90% of the known visible universe is made up of it, its relatively easy to harvest and can be used in Fusion and Hydrogen fuel cells.

Thats what they supposedly use, sites where ufos have landed have high amounts of radiation so im just guessing they use radioactive elements

Which is why some astronomers have put forward the idea of searching the skies where aliens are most likely to notice us, a mere 3% of the night sky, I for one would love a Alien War/ Diplomacy.

Well, to be fair, Jesus had rather a lot of historical evidence. >_>

Actually there is no historical or archealogical evidence that supports the existence of Jesus...none at all, and believe me, they have tried. And considering he was supposed to be the son of god, you would have thought that some historian at the time would have jotted something down.
All evidence that does support the existance of Jesus stems from hundreds of years after his supposed death during the formation of the christian church... and all of the stories attributed to Jesus were around long before his supposed birth.
Jesus is a myth as much as Aliens... although at least there is the outside chance, however miniscule, that aliens actually do/did exist....unlike Jesus.

UFO's...by their very nature - are unidentified. Once you start saying "It's Aliens", of which there is no evidence to support such a claim, you are "identifying" them as Aliens.

The only evidence we have so far is strange glowing lights in the sky that move in gravity defying ways.... there is nothing to suggest they are aliens.

Best not mention the global phenomenon of cattle mutilation.

Theyve been around waay longer than that everywhere in the world youll find some depiction of them, theyre in the bible, on cave walls for christ sake!

What scripture?

Also, Josh, the Egyptians worshiped the sun. That is what is in those carvings.
And to say that it is IMPOSSIBLE for people to do the math to figure out how to leverage big stones into big structures is insulting to those people. Please stop saying that. People, what they may have lacked in tech, they more than made up for in number of people working on it and time they took to complete it. Stop insulting people you only have book knowledge about. If you ever meet an ancient mathematician, then tell me it is impossible. Until then, forget it.

So its an object?

If a UFO lands in my garden... it could be any number of things - from a meteorite, a satellite, a weather balloon, a chinese lantern etc etc etc.

If I then go and take a picture of it - it will be a picture of "what-ever is actually is" - a UFO is only a UFO for as long as it remains unidentified.
And Extra-terrestrial Spaceship is not a UFO - because it has been identified.

Is this really a hard concept to grasp - or am I just explaining it badly?

Some strange lights in the sky could have any number of terrestrial explinations - in fact - a terrestrial explanation is odds-on more likely than any "extra-terrestrial" explanation, given the impossibly advanced technology that would be required - coupled with the impossibly far distances that would need to be travelled - and the impossibly small chance that such an advanced race would have any interest in amoebas like us... because if there is such an advanced race of space-faring aliens, then it'd mean life is far more abundant in the universe than is currently thought - in which case, we are nothing special, and so of no real note-worthyness to interstellar travellers, any more so than a patch of moss on a wall at the bottom of your garden.

Why would an alien race come billions of lightyears across the universe just to give some backward hick an anal probe?
Seems like a bit of a wasted journey if you ask me

We are the only ones because the universe is so huge. Makes sense. Also the world was once flat. 1997 phoenix lights videos might have been a hoax but if you look a little bit more into it you'll know there were two events that night with too many testimonials to dismiss it. Then there's this.

There is no doubt that there *are* definately strange lights flying around in the sky.

I mean, my local area is a UFO hotspot - but until me & my brother saw one - we had always dismissed those people who had said that they had saw something as "Liars or Loons";
There's even video footage taken of pretty much exactly what we saw (though taken from a different area of town, and on grainy low quality footage).

Now you could look at the grainy, low quality footage (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDKnBBWPqiQ&feature=related) and say "That doesn't reveal anything";

But to me... it shows that me & my brother were not hallucinating that night - and the chances that this random stranger, also from my town, would be able to hoax exactly what we saw - having never met us, or heard our testimony - are so remote that I am convinced of this videos authenticity.

How many thousands upon thousands of eye witness accounts, and video footage is required before we start accepting that UFO's *do* actually exist?

i remember one time on the way to work,it was about 8 - 9 in the morning and was a bright summer day. theres this one road that runs right next to a huge lake with mountains on the other side, and there was this really intense bright light above the mountain, looked just like a star, but it was a sunny day so stars wouldnt be visible. and it gradually got smaller and smaller and dissapeared,iv probaly thought about it at least once every day since, just cant think of what it was2011-02-07 16:18:00

Actually, UFOs clearly exist. They are basically something in the sky that you can't identify. What we don't know exists is whether there are aliens inside them.2011-02-07 16:49:00

Wait a sec! I did not say a thing about drilling a hole in the middle of a planet! -.- I ment using them as pitstops to collect fuel (which I believe is hydrogen)

The thing is... everything about our existance is based on million to one chances.
The chance that we'd have a sun stable enough of "just the right size" ... millions to one.
The chances that earth would orbit in the "temperate zone" to allow liquid water... millions to one.
the chance that earth would have the the right material make up to allow a liquid iron core and thus a stable atmosphere... millions to one.
The chance that the right elements would be floating around in the primordial soup in order to kick start the chain of life.... billions to one.
The chance that that life would survive all of the verocious attacks that nature presses upon it... from volcanos and meteorites etc... millions to one.
The chances that a "sentient" life form could evolve in such chaos.... billions to one.
The chances that this sentient life could then go on to advance from the planet that it originated from .... billions to one.

Now if you add up all of those million and billion to one chances.... you get an "astronomical" figure.
One so "astronomical" that in the entire universe, it may only happen once.

.... And here we are *waves*

As we look around the universe for signs of life... we've come up negative time and time again.
Now you'll always have the "There's one planet we haven't checked yet!" - ... but as we check on millions and billions of more planets ... and still find nothing... we may have to accept that we are alone in the universe (and maybe start treating this planet and it's species with a bit more respect).

We should know, this debate will go on for eternity, we should also know that there are more things, cats? Different aren't they? Why do people not believe? Did people not believe in cats thousands of years ago...?

People used to think the Earth was flat, people DO believe that space is empty, but no... The moon? Dust? Plants? Grass? Metal? Donuts? (Hopefully donuts...)

In theory, the are infinity planets, little stones in space, why not? The moon is little? Little Big Planet is little... And big...

okay, these video's came from a highly unreliable UFO website, and it can easily be faked by anyone with the knowledge to do so... a few actors to film from different locations etc... and your basically sorted

If they did exist (which they could), wouldn't we all have seen them by now?

They are infrequent... and seem to happen in or around specific locations.
As I said, the area I live in is considered a UFO hotspot.
Either the entire town is full of liars and hoaxers... or we do have strange lights dancing in the skies above us from time to time.

I never said they were aliens.

Well no, there is no proof that whatever the light source was, was extra terrestrial.
I'd like to think it was, but c'mon. Seriously.

They did. It was just discovered in Ancient Greece that the Earth was round, so people already knew by that time.
But people did think it was flat.

I'm not saying that there is no life in the universe. In fact I'd love there to be some kind of life force out there.
Statistically, as the universe is infinitely big, and expanding, it is almost impossible that there aren't any other life forces out there.

Also don't forget about Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris drills holes to the center of the earth when he wants to be alone.

Well, Statistically.... given that same "infinite" (it's not actually infinite though) space, the impossibly vast distances between the stars, the impossibly vast lengths of time involved and the incredibly "infinately" small chance that life will evolve on any given planet in the first place... the chances of us *ever* coming across even microbial extra-terrestrial life-forms is so impossibly remote that we may aswell accept that for all intents and purposes, we are alone in the universe. We could search for the entire length of human history (how-ever long that will be) and still not find anything.

"Space is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space."

Why would it be depressing, If you suddenly discovered that there were loads of free houses and food for only your house because everyone else had teleported away it would let you have vast oppurtunities, We have the power to transfer animals to space, and why couldn't we deposit them on a stable planet and let them develop sentience?

its just the loneliness of it,floating around space being the only life in the whole universe? even though it really makes zero differance to our planet if there is life out there or not. unless they are like the aliens in war of the worlds,we have amazing things on earth, but still would be nice if there were life out there2011-02-08 10:45:00

Loneliness... or uniqueness.
On earth we have the most fantastic and amazing display of life to be found anywhere in the known universe.

If anything, we should all be equally amazed/awe-inspred/humbled/privileged to be able to witness it.

The universe is an amazing enough place as it is, without having to populate it with imagianary creatures;

"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too??
