Upgraded water

If you were like me, as soon as you saw water was comming out you were like whoa whoa awsome awsome.
And you spent hours make water proof submarines with a floaty and wheight system. Only to be dissapointed that the water wasnt the way you expected it and your submarine just floated there half filled with water.

I think that they should take a water system much like pixel junk shooter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ox57i8IJMQ&feature=related.

After like ten minutes of hard thinking ive come up with a system. using small squares as parent objects and make the psysics so there always a couple of pixels away from eachother like to south pole magnets trying to get away from eachother and then use a child object with the actual water graphic this water effect could be acomplished.2011-02-03 06:39:00

This has been asked many, many times before, and the reason that Mm don't make water like this is because it would be extremely taxing on the PS3. I think Pixeljunk only managed it because their liquid engine was the main focus of the game, while it isn't in LBP.2011-02-03 06:41:00

Um, water was avaliable as DLC in LBP1, so this has been discussed quite a bit. It's almost impossible to make a perfect water physics engine, as it would take a massive toll on the PS3. As it stands, I think the water feature is pretty good. I'm still waiting for static water material, though :/2011-02-03 14:42:00
