I don't believe this has done before? ![]() Sorry Dissolve lovers, there is only 10 spaces for choices max. ![]() Personally, I love Polystyrene due to it's lightness. :arg: | 2008-11-14 23:23:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Best: Sponge - The Grab Switch is probably the switch I use the most. Worst: Glass - So annoying having to deal with its attributes in Play Mode. Sure it looks nice, but it's so annoying! | 2008-11-14 23:31:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
I use dark matter a lot especially when making complex switches and it just helps you get things that should not be seen out of the way, plus it is antigravitational, and it just plain sounds cool ![]() Cheers! | 2008-11-15 00:06:00 Author: RAINFIRE ![]() Posts: 1101 |

I really have no favorites, I just pick and choose the materials depending on what I need them to do and the style I'm trying to create. The poll doesn't have the "no favorites" option though ![]() | 2008-11-15 00:20:00 Author: Gilgamesh ![]() Posts: 2536 |
If you don't have a favorite, you don't have to vote. ![]() | 2008-11-15 00:21:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Cardboard is what I use for a lot of things. Stickers show on it well and it's very flexible in terms of usage. | 2008-11-15 00:37:00 Author: Tyler ![]() Posts: 663 |

I would say Dark Matter. It is very useful in virtually every level a person creates. And yeah, it does sound cool ![]() | 2008-11-15 07:05:00 Author: Night Angel ![]() Posts: 1214 |
But dissolve is so nice....seriously it is necessary for so many things: permanent switches being the most important. | 2008-11-15 07:24:00 Author: Walter-Kovacs ![]() Posts: 542 |

Dark Matter and Sponge are the 2 most important materials IMO. Dissolvable Material would be a close 3rd. | 2008-11-15 09:05:00 Author: Voltiare ![]() Posts: 646 |
i gotta say actually, as much as i use wood all the time as my starter material, i love glass. very useful in making gadgets due to it's lack of friction. but it SUCKS that it shows up like a beacon in fog when all other materials are hidden. | 2008-11-15 12:47:00 Author: Conall-Star ![]() Posts: 157 |
It always depends on the level I'm working on, say if I'm doing a level that constantly uses a background, I don't use dark matter as often, or in a metropolitan level, sponge wouldn't be my first choice. That being said, sponge is still my most used one with the exception of any level that fits the theme I mentioned above that I might create. Though dissolve would top it if it was on the list. | 2008-11-15 18:02:00 Author: cursedbalcomb ![]() Posts: 16 |

I will have to say that my favorite material must be Dark Matter. It is so useful for building platforms and a whole heap of other inventions. ![]() | 2008-11-16 20:46:00 Author: Zorez ![]() Posts: 83 |
Dark Matter always seems to be the most useful to me. Even though I don't usually have it as a main material, I use it to make other materials float. | 2008-12-20 22:00:00 Author: HalfSwiss ![]() Posts: 86 |
Sponge, it just looks clean and tidy. Its corner are perfectly shaped and it can easily be used for most things. | 2008-12-20 22:09:00 Author: Bear ![]() Posts: 2079 |

Metal... NEVER in the history of Sacks has there been a more SQUISHYNATING substance. After that.... Glass... Adds such an odd challenge. | 2008-12-21 02:32:00 Author: DRT99 ![]() Posts: 431 |
Dissolve dissolve dissolve... how could anyone seriously rate floaty above dissolve? Dissolve is just so useful. Permanent switches, temporary blockers, exploding things without killing the player... it's just an amazing thing. Once you master dissolve, you can do pretty much anything. Secondly I'd say sponge. It's grabbable, the same weight as a sack boy, and you can jump hang on it upside-down. Third would be dark matter. Never show it, but it's almost always there, even in small quantities. ![]() | 2008-12-21 04:48:00 Author: Elbee23 ![]() Posts: 1280 |
I've started getting into the habit of making all my objects out of sandpaper first, before changing the material into something else. | 2008-12-21 08:01:00 Author: DarkDedede ![]() Posts: 672 |
