Rotation Sensors?

Archive: 7 posts

Ok, what I'm basically doing here is making a minigame in which you must keep a drunk guy balanced. I want him to throw up and make the controllinator eject when he falls, so is there a way to cause an output once he tilts a certain amount? I've tried using impact sensors on the knees but thought this might be more reliable.2011-02-03 03:46:00

You can put collision sensors for holo that's on either side where you want him to fall.2011-02-03 03:49:00

try linking putting a tag on the platform and set the according radius, then set the tag sensor onto the drunk guy. After that link the tag sensor to a counter. When the counter reaches its limit have it trigger a cut scene then link the output of the cut scene to the eject of the controllinator.

you should end up with something that looks like this : Tag -> Counter -> cut scene -> eject.

How about simple attaching a thin strip of something to your drunk guy, attached with a bolt at one end, so it swings freely. Then add a tag to the other end of the strip. Place a sensor switch on your drunk guy directly under the tag. You can now set the sensor radius so it activates when the drunk tips to the side. The strip swings and when a certain angle is achieved the tag swings outside the tag radius. Nice and simple and quite precise. If you don't want the thin strip to be seen, simply hide it behind your drunk guy.2011-02-04 15:38:00
