How To Create Health Bars/Logic

I am attempting to make a platforming game where I have to fight sackbot enemies throughout the levels. I am trying to give myself and the other sackbots health levels. I have several questions on how to accomplish this:

1. How to get holographic material to be placed at the upper corner of the screen, or just above the characters

2. What is the logic in getting the holographic material to disappear

3. When attempting to use a projectile sensor, my character still gets killed in just one hit. If I make them invulnerable to projectiles, it works then, but my sackbot's danger tweaker is always on. How do I make this work so the danger tweaker isn't on at all times?

I know I'm asking a lot but I really need these answers. I feel like I'm close to figuring it out, but it's not happening soon enough for me.

I logged into lbp2 community and found the Copyable level for HP logic. It is great and I pretty much learned how to create health bars. I guess the only thing to figure out now is how to cause damage to the sackbot so the healthbar responds accordingly. I'm guessing with projectile sensors, but how do you apply this?2011-02-03 04:30:00

Link both a Projectile Sensor and a destroyer tag on the Sackbot. After that use a Counter set in reverse for the HP, then link the Counter to the Projectile Sesnsor. After you link both the Projectile Sensor and the Counter, set the limit of both the what you wish and presto. Now when your bot is hit, your counter will count down, once zero is reached it should trigger the destroyer tag killing your bot.

Thanks for the response. Do I need to install danger tweakers


to the sakbot to make him invulnerable to projectiles. He usually dies after one hit even though the logic is working.

Well if you want him indestructible then yes you'll have to tweak the danger settings. If you just want to add a higher limit to his HP then i would go with a projectile sensor.2011-02-03 08:48:00
