Can Acting Sackbots Use Controllinator? Please Help!!!

I am attempting to make a platforming game. It will be a similar game to Megaman. All of the characters are Sackbots dressed as animal characters. It looks pretty cool, and I can't wait to complete it. I am having a problem with creating footsoldier enemies and bosses. Like I said, I created each enemy sackbot to have special abilities and powers, but when I try to make them act out their routines to display their powers, they just act like a regular sack boy. I know there is a way to get them to use a controllinator during acting. I've seen other levels where bosses can fly, jump high, run fast, and shoot projectiles. Can someone please help me to do this? It would be very much appreciated.2011-02-02 22:42:00

in the sackbot's settings there is an option to let them use DCS2011-02-02 22:46:00

DCS (direct control seat) was the previous name of the controllinator i just don't like to write out controllinator all the time so i say DCS. so yes they are the same thing. and yes you can use it during an acting scene. (i actually don't know but i don't see why not)2011-02-02 22:53:00

That's the thing. My sackboy is sitting in a DCS when I press record, but the sackbot starts acting like a sackboy. All the logic I installed on the sackbot can't be used. The sackbot can do a sprint dash, jump high, shoot out energy beams, etc., but can't do this when I press record. My thinking is kind of like yours. It seems like this should work right? But sadly it hasn't worked yet for me and I dont know what I'm doing wrong.2011-02-02 23:13:00

what you can do is put a 2nd sackbot off screen in another DCS and make him act. this giving his output to the DCS of the first sackbot.2011-02-03 00:00:00
