UPDATE: I have revived this thread and completed it. These are all of the beneficial Create Mode Glitches in PSP. All of them are incredibly useful and I've used almost all of them very frequently in my levels. If there are any more I missed, please Reply with the name, who found it, and a brief tutorial and I will add it in. Enjoy, and I hope this is helpful to all of you.

1. Take a material and change into any gas color. Now go to Tools> Material Changer> Select desired material, and click on gas.

2. Go into the Tools section of popit and click on material changer, it doesn't matter what material you choose. Now hover your cursor over the desired material object, and press X AND Start button at the same time. Choose to go to Play Mode and Save. When you re-enter edit mode, the material will be invisible. CAUTION: If you resize it, it will no longer be invisible.

3. Place 1 grid square of thick material, and then 1 grid square away place another. Click on one grid square and then press circle, this will center your popit cursor. Now place a piston connecting the two, and keep it perfectly horizontal. It should look like this: □-□. Walk your sackboy in between the two, and put yourself perfectly in the center of the piston. Now, you can lethalize yourself, place objects on, and even capture yourself. HOWEVER: Capturing and PLACING your sackboy will instantly crash your PSP, so save your level beforehand. Found by Random and Cory_7101995.

4. Attach a Static Dissolve block to your COMPLETELY Dynamic object via Rod. Attach a tool to dissolve the block and go to play mode and test. The object will not be able to rotate. ONLY works in Play node, not create (must be activated in Play mode to work). Officially found by Napero7.

5. Capture a tool like a scorboard, and then go to Tools> Lethalizer, and click on the tool. It will not be lethal (on fire, electrified, gassy etc.) Found by Cory_7101995

6. Something Struanmcd pulled off. Adds lots of lag to the level, and hasn't been found how to recreate yet. I'll look into it and see if I can get anything working.

7. Gas is invisible when behind glass

8. Anymore?

Hey, I know that there's a LOT of Helpful Glitches you can use in LBP PSP. I know most of them, but I know that there's some people out there that are new and haven't heard of some, but could benefit if they learned how to use them. I think we should make something like a large thread where we can post all the glitches in the PSP version that help you make things, not harm them. Stuff like the invisibility glitch, tools on sackboy, gyroscope glitch etc. I personally don't have the time to make it, but if someone does, it would really help. We could have everyone contribute ideas here, and then when we get all the current glitches and brief text tutorials made, we can make a thread with all of them in the tutorials section, and maybe get a mod to lock it. Just a thought
EDIT: I'm making a list of all glitches that aren't pointless ones here, and I'd like people to help by submitting a text tutorial for me to copy in. I'll give credit when necessary.

This is a great idea and i hope people post the other glitches here. Anyways I only know about the gas glitch where you change material after turning something to gas. I also know you can get a third layer but not sure how.2011-02-08 08:22:00

spok22- That's what I'm talking about. i want more PSPer's including you knowing ALL helpful glitches.
Jimy- ok, we can start with that one. I'll make a list of all glitches on top, and rely on others to make text tutorials for them.

There is another glitch called the Grabby Glass glitch. To do this glitch: Use Tinsel Town theme, Make an object and use gas to lethalize it, capture it, put the object back in the level but still be using Tinsel Town theme, then de-lethalize the object, and it will look like a really cool gas filled glas and it's grabbable, the just capture the new object and put it in your levels. This glitch also works with the Down Under theme only you do the same exact steps with fire lethalize tool and it will make an object look like wood that used to be on fire. (Note that you dont have to keep the Tinsel Town or Down Under templates after you do the glitch.) Hope this was helpful.2011-02-09 01:19:00

I think I know what you're talking about. It is a material that looks like poisonous gas but it's solid and grabbable?

If that is what you're talking about, then it's a material I discovered last spring. There are a few other secret materials that I found. I can't type them now though.

Thats exactly what I'm talking about, yeah. And when you say you can't type them do you mean their to hard to explain, or you're not allowed to mention them.2011-02-09 13:53:00

No, there's just a lot of hidden materials. I made a level called LBPC Secret Materials Showcase V.3, and it has EVERY single hidden material available, and in every layer. Thanks for trying to help though.

Also, earthquake is logic, not a glitch.

-3rd layer
-capture of some tools and lethalize - it glitch

not so glitchy glitches:
-bomb setting off unprotected brain to make object disappear is logic (even though it's in glitch land and tutorial )
-earthquake
-secret materials, is it a glitch?
-lost stickers, is it a glitch?

You attach a a camera to a piston that moven up/down really fast, and when amera is activated the screen looks like an earthquake. It's logic, not a glitch. The lost stickers and materials are just normal materials not in the goodies bag, they arent glitches2011-02-12 06:02:00

off topic, but what does that glitch do?

When at the main menu, go to my pod and press X then O really fast. It zooms out, and if you do it past a certain point, everything flips upside down. Continuing after that will end up flipping things right side up again. (It resets after you play a level)

You might wanna add the destroyer glitch.

You first attach an unprotected creature brain to an object and have it attached to a one shot wire. When the one shot is activated, the object will be destroyed if done correctly. '

I use this method for platforming reasons (seen in Wooden Isles).

I cant get that to work. If I could LBP would be SO much easier for me. Does it work for everyone? Does it have to be one shot?2011-12-02 01:49:00
