I got a font that is a single object with separate letters yet I can't seem to separate them. I finally figured out how to make a menu now i'm stuck on this trivial point. I couldn't find an answer using the search, sorry if this has been gone over to death.

i have not yet had time to experiment with this but you could crush all of the letters you don't need.

Possibly slidedrum's suggestion will work but I've not had any luck using individual parts of collected community objects in LBP2. In LBP1 I can copy the individual letters of a font set to make the words I want but in LBP the same font set is locked together and selecting one object selects the whole set. I cannot move, edit or copy any individual piece. I've tried collecting other font packs from popular LBP1 font levels and they all act the same so I think that LBP2 is enforcing the community object restrictions differently or more strictly than LBP1. Alternative methods I tried to get just a single letter of a font set all failed. Including doing an object capture of a single letter, trying to change unneeded letters to dissolve and dissolving and whatever else I could think of. I don't think it will take too long for there to be a whole lot of LBP2 font levels plus you can very easily make your own font with the included alphabet stickers in LBP2 and the sticker cutout tool. Very easy.

Yeah, I guess it can't be done at this point, I'll have to make my own. Sucks that I spent so long trying to figure it out. Thanks for the replies.

Make individual stickers of the letters you want or need. Zoom in close, move the sticker photo square around the individual letter and take a pic of it. Boom, that letter as a sticker. Do the same for the rest of the letters...

Because they are not your own objects, you cannot alter them. However this means you can easily smear (Drag a square across) a material around them. Most fonts are too complicated to do this all at once, so go for about 6 at a time. Get the letters Make them material A Take Material B and 'smear' across letters. Letters should be intact. Delete letters. Place material C (Can be same as A) Take the remaining material B - Now a template of letters - And copy/paste onto C. Repeat for all of the letters and save all of them as an object in your own popit. They are now yours to copy individual letters from. Used this in the Beta, need to redo it in the full game! Hope this helps!
