Angle Sensor, Speed Sensor and spline drawing
Archive: 8 posts
Angle sensors should trigger when it is in a certain range of angle, i.e to see if an object is upside down we set the angle range to 180 degrees. A speed sensor should trigger when it is traveling in a set range of speed. Spline drawing can be a seperate option when you select a material: you draw your shape using controls similar to the pen tool controls in Photoshop or something like what you can do with arches in SketchUp. That is all. UPDATE I went ahead and tried to implement a speed sensor myself, and the result is very nice. Check it out here (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48824-LOGIC-TOOLS-Speed-Sensor-Signal-Change-Sensor). | 2011-02-02 18:52:00 Author: saarraz1 ![]() Posts: 86 |
I completely acree with being able to draw or create shapes with a spline editor. Add to that the ability to scale in one dmension only, such as width or height. | 2011-02-02 18:58:00 Author: wizaerd ![]() Posts: 159 |
The Angle sensor sounds brilliant. One Object X has turned Y degrees, activate this..I like the speed sensor to. I need that. Also the One Dimension Scaler up there is a great idea. | 2011-02-04 20:55:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
I went ahead and made the speed sensor! Check it out HERE (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=48824-LOGIC-TOOLS-Speed-Sensor-Signal-Change-Sensor). | 2011-02-12 09:51:00 Author: saarraz1 ![]() Posts: 86 |
I made one too in the beta ![]() It would be good if they add some "output values" tweaks for some other componenet and angle option would allow to reduce thermo in some solutions | 2011-02-12 11:53:00 Author: Shadowriver ![]() Posts: 3991 |
LBP doesn't use vectors to calculate its shapes; they're points and straight lines. If you used any kind of vector drawing tool the game would have to simplify it down to a resolution that's pragmatic for the level's memory limitations. Which pretty much leaves you with a corner editing tool that drags more than one corner at a time. | 2011-02-13 12:44:00 Author: munrock2 ![]() Posts: 96 |

But thats part of vector drawing :> even so such pen tool could work as smooth straight lines and points drawer | 2011-02-13 16:13:00 Author: Shadowriver ![]() Posts: 3991 |
Yes it's part of vector drawing ![]() If we could have splines, we could have perfect spheres and bump free slides, too. It would be nice. | 2011-02-13 16:29:00 Author: munrock2 ![]() Posts: 96 |
